I like not having to get a taxi into town. This is a pretty basic Hotel but cheap and clean. I don’t know about the air conditioning as it’s not the height of the summer and air con not necessary. Staff was ok, no particularly friendly but more towards the rude side. The are not enough chairs to see the live music shows at the lounge. We went in January, the outdoor pool was closed and the indoor pool was packed and the showers/changing areas were very small and basic. We borrowed the equipment from the reception to play tennis and mini golf but both sport areas looked abandoned and need refurbishment. We enjoyed the quiz night activity and the party on Friday night. We walked to the medina by the beach side in over one hour. Outside the hotel there are other options for dinner and have a cup of coffee. We were fortunate to get the Alyssa suite which was marvellous. It was spacious, comfortable and cosy. As previous guests have pointed out the breakfast was fantastic, we had something different every day. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. We did a couple of their tours which were very well organised with good vehicles and drivers. We highly recommend Dar Benti."
