The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Well appointed and the bed and pillows were very comfy. The front desk staff were all fantastic, friendly and didn’t call me by name but clearly remembered who I was. That’s always a nice touch. Some cons? Parking. They have a deal with the Gov’t Center garage which is a 5 minute walk, crossing several busy streets. However, there is a parking garage right outside their in-house restaurant door. Admittedly, I don’t know anything about that garage - size, condition, ownership, etc. but it would be much more convenient. Also, my room didn’t have washcloths. I mentioned that to some friends I was there visiting and their room didn’t either. So, bring your own or a bath scrunchy because they have a wall-mounted unit with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Finally, you’re near some busy streets as I mentioned. Traffic noise and police sirens were very evident on the third floor. Still, a great place and I would consider returning to The Boxer.

Roadworks outside starting at 8pm until around 5am were horrendous. Would have been nice to be forewarned. Or given the chance to change to different location. Sleeping was down to about 3 hrs a night.
The 2 en-suite rooms were fine. The third had the smallest bed, no mirror, only one bedside table. And a route march to bathroom with sink that had no plug. We put a mixing bowl in sink for husband to be able to shave.
None of these things are majorly bad just a few niggles.
It was nice and clean, with a pleasant view.
