It is an absolutely gorgeous view of the countryside when you look out the two-story wall of windows from the living room/dining room.
The second story of the chalet features two additional bedrooms (1 Queen/2 Singles) and another full size bathroom – this one with a jetted tub.
The front deck of the home is a two level, huge deck with a built-in gas grill. Plenty of space for outdoor eating and to relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
Communications – we’ve got you covered, with satellite TV and DVRs in the living room and two of the bedrooms. Broadband wireless internet is also provided.
This is a great house for families. A huge front lawn provides plenty of space for the kids/games.
The driveway to the house is a half mile long from the road. There is plenty of room for off road parking – for RVs, trailers, and snowmobiles.
The world famous Chautauqua Institution is only a mile away. Boat launch at Prendergast is also approximately 1.5 miles away.
We are centrally located between Peek n Peak and Holiday Valley. Both are great ski resorts. The home is also very close to Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile trails.

The property was beautiful, private and the creek was an added bonus. The chalet fit our family nicely with the kitchen being well stocked with everything we needed.
My family had a short weekend getaway and the property was perfect - clean house, spacious yard, and close to many amenities in CHQ. Would definitely stay there again!
This property was a great spot for us to meet with family to reconnect and enjoy each other's company in beautiful surroundings. We also appreciated the closeness to the lake, restaurants, and other activities. Lake Chautauqua is a beautiful area to visit.
The perfect place for kids to explore and parents to relax! Very close to midway park and the lake. It was also nice to just stay at the house and enjoy what it has to offer.
This chalet was very secluded on a beautiful setting! Very relaxing and peaceful! We had a wonderful time playing games, grilling, and just chilling in the yard.
The property is some distance away from the highway. We were aware of that and enjoyed the peace and quiet the location offered. Property is very nice both inside and out. Easy contact with owner. Reported we could not get the outside grill to light but this did not create an issue for us.
Beautiful secluded home…everything in the description was accurate. Comfortable beds, i have a bad back and it’s hard to find a bed away from home that does not hurt my back and this place was comfortable.
The kitchen is spacious with lots of dishes. We could have used some microwaveable serving bowls. We loved the outdoors areas. I’m sure that we will return in the future. Truly enjoyed our time there in the chalet. And any of our concerns were immediately addressed. Sue
Been going to Chautauqua for years and never want to leave. The Chalet is tucked away and not far from the boat launch for fishing. Lots of Chipmunks to keep you entertained. Recommend
Place is very nice, especially if the weather is good to enjoy the yard and deck.
Internet didn't work, but was due to a big storm that rolled through.
Would definitely go back and stay again.
This is truly a great location. It's just minutes from Bemus Point, The Chautauqua Institute, golfing, the lake and much more. The house is in great condition surrounded by farm fields and woods. We watch some of the Persied meteor showers in the dark sky. The owners were handy when needed.
This is a great property, particularly for anyone attending the Chautauqua events. Beautiful lawn area, lots of deer. The fire pit makes for a great gathering spot in the evening. The house is well supplied with appliances and comfortable furniture. Our only suggestion for improvement is to add a grab bar for the bathtubs.
Our son got married at CHQ Barn and it was the perfect place to stay. It is spacious, beautiful, clean and relaxing. We hiked, had a beautiful fire and enjoyed time together on the deck. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathrooms are large and well stocked also. Highly recommend.
Secluded in the woods with beautiful scenery and coffee with the morning critters was a delight! Thr f friends we came with had trouble climbing the rock and stone steps at the base of stairway and a handrail for them would have been safer. Lovely area and home. Overall very nice accomdations.
Such a beautiful property! The house is open and spacious. They have everything you could possibly need, which is super awesome. My fave thing was waking up early and sipping coffee on the porch or out in the lawn chairs. So much nature, beautiful sounds, and little critters to watch 💚
Amazing place to stay! Had a family getaway weekend and it was just beautiful. Right from the star with driving down the long secluded driveway to come up on the chalet with all the windows and the big front yard was just breath taking. The fireplace was a great asset and very convenient with both both gas and wood. The openness of the inside was great since we had all ages of us and it allowed us to all be together yet doing different things if needed. The porch and fire out outside were nice at night. Comfortable and clean. Will be back!
We’ve been visiting Chautauqua for years and this was by far our best trip yet. The chalet was beautiful and very well stocked with all the essentials and then some!! Communication with the owners was great. We were able to hike and explore the property, play in the snow, enjoy some of the local wineries, then wind down to relax by the cozy fireplace. Our family had an amazing time and is already looking forward to staying here again. Thanks for opening your home to help us create some wonderful memories.
This is an unusual property in a beautiful setting-the home is spacious and well appointed. The grounds are gorgeous and home to many deer and groundhogs who entertained us every day. Our host responded to us within 20 minutes of our request. We were two couples with plenty of space and privacy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Had a few hiccups at the beginning of my stay, but I reached out to Chris and he promptly got the issues resolved. Everyone in Chautauqua is very friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful. The weather was also beautiful. Enjoyed the peaceful nature of the property and all the critters: deer, ground hogs, rabbits, birds and bats (at dusk). Enjoyed the fire pit too! Be prepared to use cell phone as a hotspot for internet access. Verizon worked well.
We had an excellent stay! The check in process was easy, the house was clean, plenty of towels and the pillows were great too! It might seem like that isn’t something to mention but we ’ve stayed at many places where the pillows were flat and uncomfortable so definitely worth mentioning here! We did have some critters get into the garbage so had to block the door for the garbage bin with some firewood which did the trick. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!
