"This was a fabulous place to stay. Spacious, unscrupulously clean, beautifully decorated and with fantastic views out over Eboli and beyond. We used the villa as a base for getting to Pompei, Salerno, Paestum and the Amalfi coast which can all be reached within one hour and local town of Eboli has all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay. However, the most impressive thing about our stay was how really nice and helpful our hosts Ina and Cosimo were and we couldn't thank them enough. When we arrived Cosimo met us in Eboli to take us up to the villa and then when we were settled he drove me about town to show me the best places to eat were and where everything was. A little later into our stay, the front tyre of our hire car was damaged and we called Ina and Cosimo for advice on how/where to get it fixed. Ina very kindly called her contacts who came and took the car and changed the tyre within an hour, which was incredible and for which we were very grateful. I would recommend this as a place to stay for anyone. It is a couple of kilometres above the town and you need a car but the views are amazing, the garden large and lovely and there is a great pool to use in the summer months."

"We loved our stay here. We picked this hotel because of the electric car charger so that we could charge our rental car overnight on our way from Bari to Sorrento. We had a lovely dinner and the host was very hospitable 😀"

"We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The pool was magnificent. large and very clean thanks to Salvatore's early morning visits every day. The kitchen was also huge and easy to use. The highlight was Salvatore cooking delicious pizza's using the woodfired oven. The mozzarella was from the nearby cows, whose bells, we could hear gently as they passed by. We struggled to leave this wonderful setting, but did enjoy trips to Paestum, Herculaneum, Vietri Sul Mare, Pompeii, Vesuvius (Book online before you go up!), Naples and Sorrento. There was so much to do! We would strongly recommend this villa, Salvatore is so helpful. Thank you for the delicious home made olive oil. We hope to return again soon!"

"Not very impressed, the reason for booking was so we could relax and and have spa and massage treatments. And they said that the person doesn't work the month of August, isn't that busy season.why would I go halfway up a mountain to stay with nothing to do and don't help you with anything.very disappointed."

"This is a very tranquil place to stay, nestled in beautiful hills with some very pleasant nearby towns--in particular, Sicignano degli Alburi. We attended a large family reunion in Sicignano, and Mariangela, our hostess at La Tavernola, was very accommodating, allowing a small family photo exhibit on the premises, while also catering a delicious snack ("an evening under the stars") to finish up the weekend. Our room was charming and airy, with a pleasing view of the countryside. The breakfasts (and other meals that we ordered) were fresh and very tasty. Some ingredients were harvested at La Tavernola, such as olive oil and beans. Her staff was also friendly and gracious. The town of Sicignano has a historic castle and some excellent restaurants, including a pizza cafe on the town's main piazza. We also visited a nearby cave (~25-40 minute drive), Le Grotte di Pertosa-Auletta, which had an underground boat ride for part of its tour."
