"Lou Bres 2" is a former family home that has managed to stay current while retaining its character and history. It remains authentic and unassuming, while offering modern comforts and plenty of space for recreation: the pool, the barbecue, the large garden, the separate studio, the swings, a space for playing boules, and more—and, most recently, a multi-sport court perfect for children.
Entirely on one level, the garden, pool, living room, and indoor and outdoor dining areas flow seamlessly into one another, offering welcoming living spaces as well as more secluded nooks for quiet relaxation. The villa features 80 square metres of living space, including a large, well-equipped kitchen, a beautiful indoor dining room, a very large, comfortable, and inviting living room, as well as a secluded reading nook that can accommodate two guests. There are three bedrooms: two share a bathroom, while the third—the master bedroom—has its own bathroom. On the lower level of the villa, the one-bedroom apartment (T1) is accessible either from outside or via the interior staircase. Completely self-contained, it features its own open-concept kitchen, a living room, a bedroom with one double bed and one single bed, an additional single bed in the living room, and a bathroom.
The garden, spanning over 1,000 m², extends from the house, framed by a cypress-lined path and the swimming pool, which offers complete privacy, with a children’s playground featuring a swing at the far end. The barbecue area and outdoor dining area are located between the kitchen and the pool, ideal for meals under the awning or in the shade of the mulberry tree.
As for the town centre—with its town hall square, harbour, small park, boats, and numerous restaurants—it’s a 10- to 12-minute walk away, though there is, admittedly, a short 150-meter uphill climb on the way back. The beaches at L’Arène and Cassis are a 15-minute walk away, and the nearest supermarkets are 10 minutes away (Spar and Super U).
Finally, you’re 35 minutes from the completely transformed city of Marseille—revitalised by its designation as the 2013 Capital of Culture and the 2017 Capital of Sport—featuring the MUCEM, the Old Port, Le Panier, Le Frioule, the Calanques, and more... You’re also just 45 minutes from Aix-en-Provence, and 5–15 minutes from La Cadière, Le Castellet, Aqualand, Sanary, La Ciotat, and more…
So you won’t leave Cassis without having enjoyed a few wine tastings at the winery, gone scuba diving, watched a sunset from the top of Cap Canaille, a never-ending aperitif on the harbour, a hike or boat trip through the calanques, and, above all, a game of boules on the square in Cassis.
