Enjoyed the anonymity of my stay. The great hotel staff were friendly and attentive without imposing. Thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling and food,then retreating to the peace and views of my room terrace. Entertainment was available if you wanted it. The perfect place to wind down after Scuba diving. Loved it and plan to go back!

We stayed for a week from 2 November 2015 - cost under £350 for the two of us full board in a suite. There was low occupancy with just eighty guests and the number of staff and availability of some facilities was inevitably limited by this. The suite - at the end of a block - was fab with a normal size room plus a spacious indoor sitting area and a large outdoor balcony with sunbeds providing privacy and wind protection. Room facilities were fine and the rooms were well cleaned every day. One gripe is the lack of tea and coffee making facilities so take your own. This was especially important as there was no room service available. Meals were fine with a surprising choice given the low occupancy - the restaurant had more the feel of an echoing self-service canteen and a curious lack of metal spoons (!) but staff were friendly and helpful. The beach was coarse sand and snorkeling off the jetty was pretty good - the guy there works hard to keep the reef protected and it shows. Sadly my wife became ill with bronchitis and diaorrhea and the staff and recently-arrived doctor could not have done more with two trips to Port Ghalib hospital. In summary we would certainly return having previously paid twice as much in Marsa Alam for a smaller room albeit with a more polished meal service.
