"The thing about this hotel is that it’s nice with a whimsy of nostalgia if they kept up with repairs it would be perfect but a lot of times things are in disrepair but the staff were always amazing. They all made extra effort to make us comfortable and so I’d stay there again just for the quality customer service and care we received. Plus it’s on a budget you can’t really complain. "The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our 3-day stay, and the hotel itself was lovely (and pristine)! Of particular note was the effort made to ensure gluten-free options at the free breakfast in the mornings, and the help we received planning our driving routes around the city. We will definitely be returning!"
Modern lakefront island view cottage

"Wow! We had such an incredible experience at this cottage. The cottage itself was very clean, organized and had everything you need to cook (including oils, vinegar and spices).The area is more beautiful than the pictures show! The included kayaks, paddle board, canoe and water mat were all easy to use, with provided life jackets. While the lake is shallow and weedy, we were still able to swim and fish easily. Mark is an absolutely lovely host, he went above and beyond with offering every amenity he could provide, giving tips and tricks for equipment, fishing, and even helping us figure out the outside grill and sink. Mark lives right beside this cottage, but provided us with complete privacy during our stay, and was closeby when we had questions! If I could give this experience more than a 10/10 I would. Highly recommend staying here! Thank you to the Read Family!"

"The Burley's Garden and Suite was very beautiful. The suite was cozy and warm. The hostess, Margaret welcomed us with a smile and a big hello. She showed us around the suite and was very inviting. This location is in a quiet area and away from excessive noises. Margaret, gave us a great suggestion for dinner and breakfast to a restaurant that is literally a two min walk from the driveway. We will definitely be staying there again for sure."
