With a blend of modern and classic coastal décor, it is ideal for family holidays and other responsible groups. The central hall has a double-height ceiling looking up towards the first floor sitting room (open fire not in use). Sliding doors open into the games room with full-size pool table (50p per game) for rainy days and evening fun! The games room is open plan into the dining room and kitchen, looking out over the garden through wide doors. The dining table sits next to an ornamental log burner (not in use), and the kitchen is fully equipped including an espresso machine and a small utility room to the side. Stairs from the entrance hall take you to the first floor sitting room with large Smart TV, offering glimpses of the sea barely 100 metres away. There are four bedrooms sleeping 8 guests on the ground floor, the master king size (5ft) with en-suite wet room & WC, two further king size (5ft) bedrooms and a twin (two single beds). Upstairs there is a cosy single bedroom tucked behind the sitting room. Along with the large en-suite shower, also on the ground floor there is a family bathroom with WC and a shower over bath, and a further separate WC. Sliding doors open wide from the dining area to the south-facing rear garden, where there is an outside dining table, lounge seating and sun loungers on the patio, and a flat lawn. There are some good restaurants nearby, including the 18th century Lamb Inn 2 miles away, the excellent Crab and Lobster Gastropub at Sidlesham Quay, and CHK Italian near Birdham. We used it as a venue for a family celebration, arriving from various locations. The house is spacious and comfortable and fully met our needs. The upstairs lounge was particularly nice to sit and relax in the evenings. The house has plenty of parking capacity and the rear garden space is great for the kids to play and others to sit and enjoy the sun. The house is a short walk from the (stoney) beach and coastal path and also from the local amenities which included two supermarkets, independent butchers and greengrocers and a wide range of eateries. We also used the house as a base to visit several nearby attractions. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Marine House to others. Six adults, 2 children of ten, one in a wheelchair. 2 younger children. The kitchen was good for making meals together and the dining area big enough for us all. There is an en-suite shower room, another bathroom with a bath and a shower above. Nice garden and garden furniture. Parking in the driveway for our 3 cars. It’s 2 minutes walk to the beach. Shops and cafes very nearby. It worked well for us. Lucie is an excellent host and communicated very well, answering all our queries. Thank you Lucie!
