"Stairs in our room up to be a little scary at night. Beware the breakfast. We changed reservations for the last day, and learned that breakfast was NOT included. Was 29 euros...very steep. Beware: This wasnt clear! Shuttle to airport convenient but expensive. Alilaguna about a 12 minute walk and less than half the cost."

"Hotel Monte Carlo staff went above and beyond . They were gracious , informative , and made sure every need was taken care of . We loved our apartment with a beautiful view of the canal and gondolas . They were great about arranging us transportation both from the airport and also to the port in Chioggia. Again, couldn’t be happier with our experience ."

"The property was centrally located by the Rialto bridge which both good and bad. Good location but bad location as it was very crowded and busy. Evening and early morning was still loud. Pillows were hard and no coffee in the room. We had a mosquito in our room and were biten. Breakfast was included and was good. Do do not get a water taxi from the guys in from. Go to the left as you go out and ask for. Overall, nice."

"This hotel is a great location for visiting Venice. It’s located right on the water at the public boat dock which makes it super convenient for accessing Venice and the airport. The hotel is incredibly clean and has a charming decor. Some of the rooms have views that overlook the lagoon and St. Mark’s Square. The breakfast is also fresh with scrambled eggs, bacon, vegetable medley, cold cuts, cheese, and lots of pastries. The only knock against the place is that the rooms are very small, but well maintained. Overall, a good stay. "

"Contacted the hotel 4 wks & then again 2 wks in advance about our reservation - they never got back to us. Arrived & they were going to rent us the room, despite it being nearly midnight (but before their deadline to checkin). We paid an additional $125 & they rented it to us. Got bite 10 times by a Mediterranean recluse spider (venomous). Would never stay here again, at $500/a night it was terrible."
