Nice Hotel

The hotel was great! It was in a good location, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, it was a really nice place to stay.

Easy to arrive even in late hours

Very easy to arrive, even when reception was already closed. Received required information via SMS; door code, where to find room keys etc.

Gut: Kostenlose Parkplätze hinter dem Hotel. Sehr freundliches Personal. Hervorragendes Frühstück u. a. mit leckeren Omeletts und frischgepresstem Orangensaft. Schlecht: Die Fotos im Netz sind etwas irreführend. Gezeigt wird das historische Hauptgebäude, aber sämtliche Zimmer befinden sich in einem seitlichen "neueren" Anbau, der aber auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Mein Zimmer war ganz OK, aber leider roch es auf dem Gang und im Treppenhaus ziemlich unangenehm nach Abwasser. Fazit: Mariestad selbst ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise Wert und das Seeufer und der Yacht-Hafen sind zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.

Die Unterkunft liegt an einer Hauptstraße. Es ist zu laut. Hängt aber wahrscheinlich auch vom Zimmer ab.

Potentialen finns här!

Tredje gången vi bor här på ett år, och konstigt nog var första gången den bästa, trots att de var mitt i renovering då. Förra gången saknades det småhanddukar på rummet, men jag trodde bara det var ett misstag. Det var det inte. Det är också ganska märkligt med nästan en hel Rituals-butik i reception/lobby, men i badrummet finns numera endast en tvål/duschgel vid handfatet, som du ska komma ihåg att ta med dig in i duschen-och ut igen. I övrigt är rummet bra. Dock avloppslukt i korridoren vid hissen. Turligt nog mindes vi att man behöver en kod för att komma in på hotellet kvällstid-men vi hade inte fått den så fick fråga efter den. Den var inte skriven på vår nyckelkorthållare och det nämndes inte vid incheckning. Frukosten kan behöva lite kärlek, framförallt på brödsidan. Sen bör man nog sätta en liten etikett på cornflakesbehållarna, för när jag år frukost misslyckades 8 av 10 med att få ut något för de inte förstod hur man gjorde. Det här hotellet har så mycket potential. Älskar hur fin frukostmatsalen blivit t ex, men det krävs mer än fina fåtöljer och lampor.. Vi har bott på alla hotell i Mariestad och kommer med största sannolikhet bo här igen, trots allt. Men lite extra charmkurs för personalen och lite mer kärlek behövs...
