It is located in the charming Niesetal, directly at the foot of the Weserbergland. To the west, the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest forms the horizon. The fireplace in the living area is only a dummy. According to the latest findings, the Romans already had a stage camp here on their way from the Lippe to the Weser. A few hundred meters away from your vacation apartment this place is still called "Up de Schanz" in the vernacular. From your location you can reach the traditional painter's colony Schwalenberg as well as the beautifully situated Benedictine Abbey Marienmünster on easy hikes. The vacation home is located in the western Weserbergland, near the southern foothills of the Teutoburg Forest.
