Excellent location for both the beach and amenities, not to mention St Michaels’s Mount! We very much enjoyed our stay. We can thoroughly recommend both the Chapel Rock Café located directly opposite the cottage, together with The King’s Arms for a lovely meal, just a few minutes walk away. Also, the host is quick to respond.
Just a few niggles… My husband is just over 6ft tall and did bang his head on the low ceilings downstairs a few times. Bedroom three is extremely tight to have a double bed. All the mattresses were very soft, so it was difficult for us all to get some sleep. And the property would really benefit from an additional small bathroom/cloakroom. A chest of drawers/dressing table would be very welcome in the duck egg blue room. Downstairs, the sofas seem to have lost their support, which made them uncomfortable for us.
Overall. A lovely (clean) character cottage in charming Marazion. Would definitely recommend!
We loved our week - a beautiful spot and beautiful weather. The cottage is very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Thank you Sue for a wonderful stay!

A beautiful well located property.
A well appointed, beautifully decorated cottage in a fantastic location only a stone's throw from the beach and the causeway to St. Michaels' Mount. We felt at home right from the moment we arrived, helped by the wonderful gift of wine, an Easter Egg and hot-cross buns! We enjoyed exploring the local area, including both walking and getting the boat across to the Mount (the kid's loved this!) and visiting beautiful places such as Mousehole, St Ives and Praa Sands. For the kids there is a beachside playground and ice cream kiosk close by, and there is also an excellent chip shop a few doors down. We loved the house and the location and we hope to be back before too long!
Enjoyed a week at Meledor in June 21. The cottage is very centrally located in Marazion and surprisingly spacious.
It is well equipped and has a little sun-trap of a v private terrace at the rear.
Parking is 4-5 mins walk down the road (£50 for a 1 week stay) and it is easy to park on the pavement right outside to drop-off/pick up luggage.
Communication with Sue the owner was seamless (and thanks for the basket of goodies we received on arrival!).
Being a cottage, the kitchen and the 3rd bedroom are a bit small (the other 2 bedrooms and the living spaces downstairs are big though) but that was anticipated and we had no problems accommodating our group of 6 adults.

Mounts Bay Magnificence
There's no experience quite like waking up each morning to a glimpse of St. Michael's Mount out your bedroom window. Meledor proved to be the ideal place for my wife and me to spend our time on the southwest coast of Cornwall. The house is lovely, well-kept, and well-supplied. We had all the amenities we needed for a lovely stay. It's also well-situated, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and literally steps away from the St. Michael's causeway. Parking was convenient (though it might get tight in the midst of tourist season), and there is a nice little grocery and a pharmacy within a two-minute walk of the house. Marazion is well-placed for exploring this part of Cornwall, with the Penwith Peninsula nearby, and towns like Penzance, St. Ives, Mousehole, and Falmouth an easy commute away. Sue was available if we needed any assistance, and provided plenty of information to help us with our stay. Not only that, but she provided us with a lovely bottle of wine and a nice little Cornish cream tea package for our welcome! We highly recommend Meledor for your Cornwall stay!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our host Sue for an amazing time we had at Meledor. The property was beautifully and tastefully furnished and very well equipped (and here, I mean, you will find there literally everything you can possibly need). I miss the views of the sea we had from the windows!!
The house is in an excellent location, literally just across the road from the beach; right next to a café and a walking distance to other shops, take aways, restaurants... Parking was very convenient, too, there is a free parking space throughout the night right across the road (if you get lucky to get a space though :-)), short-term parking right next to it, and long term parking (providing weekly discount) 5 minutes walk away.
Sue was such a welcoming host - very easy to communicate with and super helpful with all the questions that I had. We were very sorry to leave, including my little toddler, who kept going on about how he "liked this house" :-)
Thank you, Sue, we hope to be back in that beautiful part of Cornwall one day very soon!
Located in a great location with easy access to the beach. Parking is a medium walk away. We managed with one toilet for 6 people but adding a small en-suite to the largest bedroom could work well. An enjoyable half term stay, at a fair price, though it was wet and windy!
Perfect location, clean, bright and welcoming.
We were staying with my elderly father who struggles with walking and the house was easily accessible and had stairs that he was able to manage safely and well. (V important factor for us).
Kitchen was fully equipped and having garden access was handy when returning sandy from the beach.
Sue was very helpful and easily contacted, would definitely recommend.
A huge big thank you to Sue for our holiday in the cottage. Sue was the perfect host. Wonderful location with lots of places on the doorstep to eat /drink . The cottage is very comfortable with everything you need . The Harts x
Meledor is located right in the heart of Marazion, we could just walk to the beach 'beach ready' and pop back to change before lunch. The Godolphin was great place to relax, get there early if you haven't booked.
There can be some noise from the traffic, it's a main route along the coast but this didn't spoil the stay. Parking for the week in the long stay carpark a few hundred meters away was £50 and we always managed to get a space even during busy times.
The house is well provisioned, netflix, sky, broadband keep kids entertained in the evening, a nice private patio area to unwind with a glass of wine.
Overall a lovely property and we would happily stay again.
Sue was great communicator, a first class host.
We had a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage, it was very comfortable, clean and fresh, everything we needed for a perfect weeks holiday, ideal location we could walk to beach and local restaurants, just great .
Wonderful stay. Great location with fantastic views of the bay and St Michael's Mount. lovely hamper on arrival.
The house is very comfortable equiped with everything you need.
Excellent communication also with the owner.
Would recommend
Easy to book and excellent communication with owner. Property as advertised - good location and facilities. Ideally placed to travel around area. Parking easy to sort out even in these busy times
The cottage is beautiful and lovingly furnished. The bottle of wine, milk and cream tea were a nice surprise on our arrival.
We had a fantastic stay and will certainly be back and would highly recommend it. Well worth the price.
Our Marazion Escape in the beautiful’Meledor’ Cottage
Our second stay in this fabulous cottage! Location is perfect, the cottage is so lovely, has everything you could possibly need, beautiful interior, and a view to melt your cares away!!!
A fab cottage in a great location with many attractions nearby. We loved the Minack Theatre , St Michael's Mount, Carbis Bay and Hayle beach. The cottage has everything that you need and we even had a delivery from Tesco. I would recommend this property for everyone,
Very well-tended and equipped cottage, and the location is excellent. Having a parking permit was a huge relief. When we arrived we found that one of the patio chairs was broken. The manager was on it already, and new chairs were delivered the very next day.
