Located on gorgeous wooded hillside, it sits in the perfect spot to take in the serene views of the water and enjoy the peace and quiet of the non-motorized lake as well as nature and many of it's inhabitants. Watch squirrels, hummingbirds, ducks and koi fish right from your patio. A true nature lover's paradise!

    The cabin has a cozy mountain lodge design and beautiful ambient lighting. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and has all basic cooking and dining supplies you may need for a family dinner. While you cook keep the kids busy and in sight by having them play at the train table nearby. Enjoy your meals together in a glass atrium, take it outside for an epic barbecue or make it a date and dine by the water to soak in the views. Bedrooms include a whimsical aspen built queen bed and a twin trundle bed. Sleep two more guests on the queen pull-out couch in the living room.

    With 40 feet of lakefront on Lake Wilderness, Koi Story Cabin is the ideal home base for a fun and relaxing getaway - whether it is finding zen by our very own private koi fish pond and reading a book in a glass atrium overlooking the lake, or enjoying the outdoors to the fullest: we have kayaks, floats and bikes for you to use. If you are visiting during the summer the lake is perfect for swimming: the water gets warm and kids will have a blast playing with the blow-up water toys.

    While Koi Story Cabin feels just the right amount of secluded, you're still only 4 miles away from local grocery stores and shopping. Lake Wilderness Park is 1.3 miles out and is home to many outdoor adventures like fishing, swimming, kids playground and various events. While you are here, be sure to check out Cedar River Trail that is located just steps away from the cabin. It offers a great nature walk for hikers or a day long adventure if you are up for some cycling. It is one of the best trails in King County as it is completely away from traffic, surrounded by trees with glimpses of river, lake and occasional horses.

We were competing in a triathlon at Lake Wilderness and wanted to avoid the early morning drive from a neighboring suburb in Seattle. This place looked perfect and was minutes from the parking lot.All the listed amenities were as advertised. The kitchen is nicely stocked with appliances and tableware. The bedrooms are adequate with comfortable beds and pillows. The living room is relaxing with a nice TV. The dining room however is stunning. A large table with an absolutely amazing view of the lake. We both wish we had stayed more than one night. The only down side might be the steps from the driveway to the front door. It is steep and might be an issue for some.The location again was a huge plus for us. Not the easiest neighborhood to get to but extremely quiet and right on the lake. There are plenty of places to visit quite close but we obiously chose to stay in for the night.Overall an excellent property. We very much enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the quality of our entire experience.

This cabin was so much nicer than we expected. The photos do not do it justice. It was very clean with extremely nice and comfortable furnishings. Great linens and lots of towels. It was the perfect size for 2 people but could easily accommodate a family of 4 if you don't mind sharing a small bathroom. The view was amazing and the grounds from the cabin down to the dock were impeccable - there was even a large hammock. As a note to the management company, the fan in the bedroom needs a tune-up because it was pretty noisy. It didn't bother us because we were there on a rainy, cold weekend. But it is worth a good tune up. Other than that, just perfect and we will return again.

There are a few items that need some help The whisk needs to be replaced with one that works The knife set. The knives can’t cut meat. It would be nice to have some large serving utensils

Excellent customer service

We love the Koi Story Cabin. We were there for the Cyclone Bomb this year. No electricity for 4 days. The staff was amazing! They had us hooked up to a generator and the fire place kept us warm! We communicated with Elena, Ian and Sergei. They were so helpful and worked with our schedule. A delightful place to stay!

Can a house be this perfect?

A beautiful cabin in an amazing location. Meticulously clean. We had a bit of a rough start. We understood there were steps, however the first 23 steps from parking to the cabin were narrow and a bit steep. The couple we were traveling with chose to stay elsewhere due to mobility and luggage carrying complications. It took us a bit to figured out how to access the kayaks and bikes. By then we were involved with family celebrations so we didn't use them at all. Beautiful. Comfortable. By then our staelsecoupwethecanin

Tranquil getaway

Enjoying our stay at Koi Cabin is an understatement. The setting, decor and comfort of the cabin was excellent. The location is perfect for nature walks and quick access to shopping. The view of Lake was equally lovely. This is a perfect place for a couple or small family to enjoy Maple Valley.

Perfection!

This was our second time at the property. We go over Thanksgiving to be with our daughter and family that live close by. We are from the East Coast. We love the fact that it is close to our daughter’s house. The layout of the cottage is perfect for us. Kitchen is well stocked. Unfortunately we never have been there in the summer so can’t avail ourselves to the outdoor activities. We do hike the trail very near and played pickleball. Love Koi Cottage!!

Great get away!

I highly recommend this property. Very sweet cabin, beautiful views. We will be coming back for sure! Maply Valley is a wonderful community, close to Seattle but feels far away.

Serent lakeside retreat

Peaceful and beautiful location, and a cozy cabin. My husband and I stayed at the Koi Story Cabin for a weekend away from our kids. This property is a pretty short drive from the Seattle area, but it feels secluded. We found the cabin to be very comfortable and clean, and absolutely loved the views of the lake, especially from the dining room with all of its windows. Would recommend!

Great Place to Stay Overlooking Lake

We checked in on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving for an 8-night stay. The cabin was spacious for 2 and had all the amenities you'd need. It was near sunset, so we did not get a good view of the lake. The next morning, we were stunned by the view from the dining room (which was a fully enclosed glass room off the living room). The property is set on a hillside with two levels for seating. As it was cold, we did not take advantage of the hammock or fire pit. In season, they have two sit-on kayaks and a motorized platform/floating dock section that you can use to cruise the lake. The caretakers told us about the steps up to the greenway/rail trail. This trail runs for miles through the woods and connects to a path through the arboretum. In the other direction, it is about a mile walk to a shopping center with a grocery store, a drug store and a pharmacy. There are 3 mountain bikes available for use. The internet service is fine. There is a TV over the fireplace with many streaming channels. The fireplace had a remote control can be used to control the room temperature thermostatically. The is baseboard electric heat in the bedroom and wall mounted thermostatically control heaters in the bathroom and sitting room of the kitchen. We were quite comfortable in the cabin even when the temperatures dipped below freezing at night. If we come back to the area, we would definitely check the availability of Koi Cabin before booking something else.

Perfect ending to a business conference

Elena was very responsive. The housekeepers live right there and helped us with our bags and showed us the kayaks and mountain bikes. We ate dinner on the dock at the lake and ended the evening with a fire and a movie. We enjoyed being able to unwind and relax after a busy week. Very picturesque and very nice. Highly recommend.
