Casa Fantastica is a “Tropical Modern” style resort home that was built by owners that have designed, constructed, and managed many of the premier rental homes in Manuel Antonio. After many years of catering to their customers' needs, they built the best and most desirable vacation home in the area. The view that surrounds this setting is nothing less than spectacular. Looking out to the beautiful views you will see the endless rain forest full of amazing flora and fauna, Manuel Antonio National Park, and Cathedral Point Peninsula. There are daily visits from the tropical wildlife including three different species of monkeys, toucans, and other exotic birds . Private Chef and happy-hour bartending services are included with the rental (the cost of food and beverages is additional). Meal plans with or without alcohol to cover the food and drink costs are also available; please ask us for details. The Villa: The 12,000 square foot, 4 level home is divided into two wings. The materials used are glass, rare woods, travertine marble, limestone, terrazzo, custom ceramic tiles, stucco, stainless steel, and copper. The entry-level features a waterfall entrance, a grand salon with large wet bar, flat-screen TV, sound system, 2 outdoor living rooms. Additionally the main level includes a 12 seat dining room, outdoor dining area for an additional 12, 2 half baths, BBQ, a gourmet kitchen with granite, stainless steel and wood counters, custom cabinets, and all custom-built modern appliances. Outside there is a hotel size pool with a graduated entry and infinity edge with ocean view. Very large parties can be hosted on this spectacular yet comfortable entry-level. Luxury Bedrooms: The upper level houses the master suite, three large king bedrooms, and two covered balconies with generous seating. The lower level has a game room, a cinema, a gym, and another three bedrooms. The 4th level is where the second master suite is tucked away for maximum privacy, the 9th & 10th bedrooms and the spa. There are nine king-size beds and three twin beds, and all the beds are dressed in 500 count Egyptian cotton sheets with both feather and hypo-allergenic pillows. Every bedroom is air-conditioned and has a steel safe for valuables. The baths have tropical soaps, bathrobes and plenty of towels. Three bedrooms have ocean views; the rest are jungle views. Cinema - Game room - Gym - Staff: The game room entertains with a regulation size pool table, Foosball, ping pong, and darts. Ocean view and sectional seating lines one wall. There is also an air-conditioned, 500 sq. ft. gym with 2 stationary bikes, a treadmill, universal machine, dial weights, and space for private classes. The theater is also air-conditioned and has a digital projector, sound system, terraced seating for 26 and wet bar with fridge and microwave for popcorn and other snacks. Casa Fantastica has three housekeepers who care for the home six days a week and will see to all of your cleaning needs. Laundry service is provided bi-weekly for sheets and daily for towels that are left on the floor. Personal laundry service is provided once a week, and more are available and can be arranged for through your host. There is a gardener, pool service, and a maintenance man who is always on call. A private chef is included for two meals a day to provide fantastic meals for your entire group, cost of food is additional. The dedicated staff of Escape Villas is at your disposal 24 hours a day during your vacation. Our concierge and host are available to help make your dream vacation come true. Wedding Tent and Dance Floor: Outfitted with decorative valances and ivory linens this is not your average event tent. Brocade tiebacks, sheer curtains, and puka shell chandeliers give this outdoor space a grand feel for up to 70 seated dinner guests and dancing party-goers. Set up in the grassy, tropical garden on the main level on a wooden custom deck, it is only steps from the infinity pool, bar, living room, and kitchen. The house is very spacious and spread out, so we were all very comfortable. Chef Junior, Janet, and Sammi made us such delicious meals and worked hard to ensure we had a relaxing, wonderful vacation. Valerie, the Concierge, helped us schedule our excursions, and was great with responding to any questions that arose before our trip. We were wowed by all of the animals that were easily seen from our pool that overlooked the jungle and the ocean…we saw several different types of monkeys, a sloth, a toucan, beautiful macaws and many other birds. We even had monkeys entertaining us with their antics a few times. Majorie and her girls keep the entire place clean and made sure we always had what we needed. We made great memories this week! All of that was 5 star and then some. But what was by far the best part of the trip was the food. The food was great but Chef Junior and Janeth were absolutely amazing. I asked Junior last Sunday after he had left the name of a sports bar he was telling me about earlier in the day. Not only did he tell me but he arranged a ride for us. Above and beyond! The villa is lovely, and very well maintained. It is rather large (ten bedrooms I think) so lots of room to relax, no matter the size of your party. The housekeeping services provided were excellent, really great service. All of the bedrooms were air conditioned and that was a welcome relief from the humidity. Though the common rooms are not air conditioned, there are numerous large ceiling fans that really keep the air moving as well as sliding glass walls that provide cross breezes. Chef Choco and his staff kept us well fed - even when the monkeys snuck in and stole our bananas! We stayed at Casa Fantastica for our family reunion trip that we do every 2 years. We all agreed that this was the best experience of any house we have stayed at! The views and wildlife (monkeys everyday, sloths, Tucans....) were incredible. The house was beautiful and had anything and everything we wanted. We had Estaban as our Chef and he was absolutely amazing. The food everyday was delicious and unique. He was also just such a pleasure to work with and speak with. We really enjoyed our time with him and his wife. He was definitely the best chef we have worked with over the years. Marjorie and her staff was wonderful. They were all so nice and always smiling. They seemed to really enjoy our family as much as we enjoyed them. Marjorie was such a pleasure to speak with and was so amazing at keeping the house clean and in shape. Valarie was so great to work with prior to our arrival and spent the time to answer all of our questions and set up all of our transportation and fun excursions. I would give my Costa Rican experience six stars if I could. The house was immaculate (and kept that way throughout our stay by Marjorie and the other maid staff) and the service was amazing. Our host Ricky was always available to assist in whatever we needed. Within minutes, he set up activities and arranged for transportation. You couldn’t ask for a better host. He was there when you needed him and he wasn’t there when you didn’t need him (Go Raiders). Our personal chef Choko prepared delicious meals every day. He took our requests in the morning for our dinner meal (this included a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and pumpkin pie). My other favorites were the ceviche, petit fillet and of course banana pancakes for breakfast. Upon request, Choko also picked up wine and cocktails for us. Again, the service was amazing. I have no doubt that I will be sitting on the patio of Casa Fantistica in the near future. Taking in that amazing view of the Pacific Ocean and the Manuel Antonio National Park. So many great memori Our group of 19 adults and 5 children had been planning this trip to the Casa Fantastica for over a year with Valerie’s help every step of the way. We greatly appreciate her patience and quick and thoughtful responses to our many many questions. Everything turned out AMazing!! I encourage all large groups to opt for the meal plan! It’s worth every cent. Chef Junior and David were great to work with, professional, flexible and eager to please. The food was awesome! We took advantage of all of the large gathering areas: pool, upstairs bar area, game room, media room. There was ample space for our daily family Olympic competitions. These Olympic Games and the morning visits by the monkeys were among the many highlights of our trip. The house and all master suites are beautiful and clean. The post card views from the infinity pool were breath taking. I highly recommend getting massages. Having the spa rooms on site was a real bonus and everyone was very impressed with their masseuse. The housekeeping staff was friendly. The few minor issues we had were addressed immediately by Ricky ( leaky pipe and bees in bathroom). The house is very well built and offers the most amazing views and accommodations. Positioned on a hill over looking the most epic view of Manuel Antonio and the ocean. The rainforest canopy is at the same level of the pool deck and is teeming with wildlife and dense, gorgeous foliage. Daily visits from the monkeys, toucans and sloths keep you entertained for hours. The bedrooms were all very unique and offered ocean views and also some lower jungle views. All windows have the option of opening up in the house and make you feel like you are sleeping in the jungle. The staff is amazing... Ricky was a great host and was there to help us with whatever we needed. He helped liaison with our various tour groups and even helped us recoup some money that was owed to us. Chef Junior and the kitchen team cooked us meals that rate at a 12 out of 10\. The daily meal planning with them was fun and everything turned out absolutely delicious. We asked for locally sourced, healthy meals and that is exactly what they delivered. Tons of fresh seafood and locally sourced produce kept us fueled for activities and relaxed for our down days. The cleaning staff did a great job as well... they moved in quickly and efficiently and kept the house in immaculate condition, even with a bunch a messy dudes. I cannot wait to come back to this amazing sanctuary. It was truly a pleasure to stay here at Casa Fantastica. Thank you Ricky and Junior!! Looking forward to seeing you again. ##### John M. This was our 2nd stay at Casa Fantastica. It is a phenomenal property! We are a family of 18 and the house is perfect for a large group. The bedrooms are super comfortable. Extremely nice baths and bedding. The house flows well. Wonderful furnishings throughout. Pool is awesome and you cannot beat the gorgeous view. Junior is the greatest chef! He can prepare anything you request. Janet was a fabulous mixologist! The cleaning crew did a great job everyday. Ricky is a very attentive host. Minutes to Manuel Antonio park and the beach but really you never want to leave the house. We always have spa services brought in and even a Pilates instructor for a private class. We have visited Costa Rica 7 times and by Far Casa Fantastica is our favorite spot. My wife and I chose to celebrate our wedding here, and actually had the wedding on the property. It was magical. During our ceremony, the monkey's even showed up to pay their congratulations. Super cool. You can't beat the view, the pool was the perfect temperature. The selection of rooms was great as well, all of them had their own unique look and feel. Everyone who stayed with us were comfortable. The property itself was very well maintained, clean, and all of the people who worked at the property were extremely nice.
