Political and ceremonial gatherings take place in the 18th-century Mansion House, a key structure in Doncaster’s history. Outside, snap photos of the Palladian design of the building’s façade. It has a grandiose appeal, with symmetrical arches and pediments.
Reflect on the rich history of the building, which was designed by architect James Paine and opened in 1749. Until 1922, it was the official residence of the city’s mayor.
