Beautiful location with private beach. The beach is a little coarse and there are rocks in the ocean, but it was really nice. The pool and pool deck were great. Breakfast was good. Lunch and dinner menus were mediocre. Overall very happy with our stay.

We stayed at La Taverna for 5 nights in late June. The room was clean, the area was quiet. The swimming pool was perfect, not crowded, and the beach was at a walkable distance. Appreciated the shop and local restaurants nearby. The staff was very helpful. There was a free shuttle to the train station (we visitedTropea). I can recommend La Taverna!

Pros: perfect for couples. Parking available. Amazing view. Private and quiet. Attentive staff. Cons: the building and the common areas need maintenance and some love. The AC in our room did not work properly. They only give you one keycard, so the AC turns on when you come in to the room. Not ideal after spending the day at the beach or in town.

This is a very nice place to stay if you have kids. Lots of kids and activities. We do not have kids could have done without the thousands of screaming children. The air conditioning in the room was barely functional and it got very hot and humid at night. The location is like a demilitarized zone ...
