"Le logement est magnifique ! Il est fonctionnel et parfaitement adapté pour recevoir beaucoup de monde. Nous étions 11 et nous étions plus qu’à l’aise. Pareil l’extérieur est un vrai havre de paix pour profiter à plusieurs. Le seul bémol c’est qu’avec des enfants il faut une surveillance car rivière et étang non clôturé. Allez y les yeux fermés vous ne serez pas déçus "

La Ferme des Hautins

La Ferme des Hautins

10/10 Excellent
"We were 2 adults and a 9 yr old boy and we stayed one night in this charming farm location. We were travelling from Bilbao to the Mediterranean and it was a perfect location to stop for an overnight. Loads of room to park the car (roof box and bike rack), the room was really quaint and so clean. We were welcomed by Béatrice and Jean-François and a lovely intern working there on placement. We had booked the table d'hôte and it was outdoors in the yard with the hosts - we had fabulous food and a special mention for the BBQ (beef and veal from the farm) - it was delicious. We had a great nights sleep, sampled some local artisnal beer watching the World Cup after dinner and set off early on the road following a delightful, fresh breakfast and eggs au plat. JF brought my little boy (9) out to the fields to see the cattle and they were really kind and engaging peolple. A great choice for out overnight stay, just off the main motorway, in the foothills of the Pyrennes - just a perfect tranquil setting after an overnight sailing and drive from Bilbao. Thanks again for your hospitality JF and Beatrice. Kingd regards,"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Mancioux?
The best area to stay in Mancioux is typically within the village centre itself, or in the immediate surrounding countryside for those seeking a tranquil retreat. The village centre of Mancioux is small but offers convenience for guests. It's built around the local church and mairie, with a few local shops and a restaurant within easy walking distance. This central location provides a good base for exploring the local area and connecting with the community.Couples looking for a peaceful escape often find the surrounding countryside ideal. Many gîtes and holiday homes are located amongst the rolling hills and farmland just outside the village. These properties often feature private gardens, stunning views of the Pyrenees, and access to walking and cycling paths, providing a relaxing and private experience. For those prioritising convenience and a touch of local life, staying in the village centre is perfect.
When is the best time to go to Mancioux?
The best time to visit Mancioux is during late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.During these shoulder seasons, the weather is typically warm and sunny, ideal for exploring the rolling hills and picturesque villages of the Occitanie region without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find that the local attractions, markets, and restaurants are fully operational, but you won't encounter the large tourist groups that can be present in July and August. This timing is great for couples looking for a relaxed, romantic getaway, allowing for leisurely drives through the countryside and peaceful evenings enjoying local cuisine.Families might find the early summer (June) particularly appealing. The weather is consistently good for outdoor activities like cycling or gentle walks, and the longer daylight hours mean more time for exploration. School holidays haven't fully begun in many places, so attractions remain less crowded than in peak season.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy.
