"Out of all the places we stayed on our north/South Island journey, this is the house we wished we’d had an extra night. The house is lovely, clean, and walking distance along the riverside foot path to the town, where you can grab lunch or set out on an adventure. The balcony has views of the mountain and the kitchen has the essentials. The hosts were super responsive on an issue we had with the hot tub and went above and beyond to make sure al was well."

"We had a great time there, able to play boardgames on the large dining table and go to the beach. Five bedrooms including 2 extensions giving on the lounge that had glass doors, ok for keeping an eye on children I suppose, but adults may feel less comfortable. Plenty of options for toilets and showers with a bathroom with toilets +shower, a separate shower in the laundry and separate toilets. Lovely front garden with well sheltered patio and succulents everywhere, we were enjoying being there...

Beautifuly clean, great outside and inside spaces for kids and adults alike. We loved watching the sunsets while sitting by the fire and felt very privileged to have our own private path through the sand dunes to the beach. Will recommend to friends."

We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."
