We booked this place very last minute as a stopping point on our way to Tahoe. I was so surprised how much I loved this place. OK... The beds are hard as heck... an $80 mattress pad from Costco could make such a significant difference, but honestly for the price and location, I dealt with the uncomfortable bed and pillows... I actually did bring my own pillows. 6 people could sleep comfortably here. We had 3 teenagers and two adults and had plenty of room. We didn't cook in the kitchen, but it was nice to have the refrigerator available. The shuttle to take you to to the top of the mountain and Horsehoe Lake is right outside the condo. If you have bikes, they will also take your bike on the shuttle and you can just ride back down. We actually took the shuttle on a round trip and a local high school student was narrating the entire time about history in Mammoth and local areas. It also takes you right down to the village. (Although its such an easy 10 minute walk. Back its slightly uphill, but I am really out of shape and had no issues.) I loved Mammoth... maybe even more than Tahoe! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. ##### Lori R. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not too happy! Water in one of the showers would not stay warm. The sliding door in the living room did not lock and didn’t have access to the balcony. The air vents and shelves were dusty, I cleaned the majority of the condo myself even though there is a substantial "cleaning and service fee". This condo is in need of some clean up and an investment in the basics. How about you guys buy duvet covers to put on those comforters? Or perhaps a hair dryer? Come on, owners, it's gross to sleep under comforters with stains from god knows what. And thanks so much for leaving me out in the cold with wet hair.
