Good enough hotel but nothing special

Pros: The location is great and the rooms really big.
Cons: Staff attitude, some touches like swimming pool bar having a nicer selection of drinks and snacks rather than just basic stuff. Restaurant food.
Location: Location is great, Balluta bay just across the street, the main coastal road giving easy access to where you want to go.
Good enough hotel but some of the areas are a little dated. The restaurant food is no good at all, despite them trying to recreate a "high end" feel with table cloths and suit-clad waiters. The food was way below average. I was really annoyed that when I checked in I wasn't asked for a credit card for them to secure any extras although my colleague was asked for one. They said I didn't have to because of the way my reservation was booked, so all OK. Then the next morning I went to have breakfast and when I finished they came with a bill and asked me to pay on the spot. I didn't have my wallet with me of course so I asked if I could settle at check out. They said no, because I hadn't given a credit card when I checked in, so I had to pay then and there. That was bad communication and manners, they should have asked my at check in to give them my card and not ask me to pay my breakfast on the spot. Some guests at check in were offered a refreshment, we weren't , so not sure what their criteria for offering a juice is...

Enjoyable and would stay again

Pros: Large bedroom Spa is fantastic
Cons: Air conditioning unit was turned off on cooler days; temp could be regulated by allowing breeze in through balcony door
Location: U Bistro do good food; the suga nero pasta is particularly good Walk to the old fort at Tigne Point - great views over the harbour to Valletta
The staff in the hotel were helpful and were quick to resolve one or two minor issues that I reported. The service is professional and curtious though it could be made to feel more personal. The hotel's location is great. Balutta bay and nearby Spinola Bay are very pleasant. There is a good selection of restaurants nearby for the days you do not wish to venture too far. There are also bus links right outside the hotel to the main tourist areas on the island. Recommend The spa and its' staff were excellent and I wish I had used it earlier in my stay. Bring trainers and running kit. The seafront outside would be ideal for a morning or evening run. Negatives The hotel is well appointed and maintained but the decor felt a little dated for my taste. The layout is unusual. The reception and bar area (and staff) are located on the third floor. The main thoroughfare in and out is via the ground floor. The ground floor entrance is unmanned and unimpressive. I did not often find cause to make a special trip to the third floor and therefore barely saw any staff.

Very nice hotel

Cons: Improve touch screen for elevators, staff could be a little friendlier at the dinner buffet (greet you, seat you)
My wife and I stayed here over the weekend. Overall, this is a very nice, modern hotel. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good (though there is a charge). The location is good, as it is a short walk to many restaurants or a bus stop where you can catch the hop on/hop off tours. If you prefer to walk, its maybe 20-30 min to the ferry that will take you over to Valletta. The elevator is interesting, in that there is a touch screen outside to pick your floor and it tells you what car to get into (there are no buttons inside the cars). Though this is a bit of a "ain't broke/don't fix it" situation; the touch screen can be a little tricky since there is no separation between the buttons (makes it easy to hit the wrong floor). And not everyone understands that a car is assigned when you hit the button, so sometimes a whole group of people will get in to your car (and who knows if they wanted that floor). In the room, the toilet and shower are separate rooms, which is nice for privacy reasons though FYI there is no sink in the toilet room, so you do have to open the door before you can wash your hands. Not really a big deal, but may be for you if you are germaphobic at all.

Nice Hotel and good location

Pros: The staff at the hotel Spa was great with a warming and welcoming attitude. The massage and spa threaphy was excellent.
Cons: I have no complaints. I highly recommend this hotel.
Location: This hotel is located in St Juilans. Walking distance to the London bar and many resturants close by. Transportation is easy found everywhere!
The front desk staff was very professional like a 5 star hotel in New York. Easy check-in. High Kudos for making my stay feel like home.

reasonable location

Pros: Location and car parking on site.
Cons: Better staff attention to detail.
Location: Decent restaurants nearby and within walking distance of Sliema and ferries to Valetta.
Quiet location, outside the busy areas but within walking distance. Good facilities sometimes let down by staff. My main unresolved complaint was an inability to get really hot water to make tea at breakfast, normally it was cool enough to bathe in. Other issues (which could have been prevented by better staff observation) were resolved.

Excellent hotel in a good location

Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: A/C in room to be available as advertised
Location: Hotel itslef has beautfiul views - plenty of restaurants etc. within easy walking distance. Frequent bus service to Valetta.
The only complaint we have about this hotel is the lack of air conditioning in the room when the outside temperature was 27 degrees! This is apparently still winter in Malta so the A/C was not available in our room - although the lobby was pleasantly cool. Staff very friendly. All other hotel facilities first class.

A Week in St Julians

Pros: Clean comfortable facilities. Very good staff.
Location: Right across from the bay. Good restaurants in walking distance. Bus stop right outside. Even some locals we met knew that this was "the best hotel."
Hotel was very appealing and in a great location. The staff were all welcoming and very professional in their service. Each employee I spoke with was personable and seemed genuinely interested in me and in making my stay better. Greatly enjoyed a one-week stay there.

Tolle Lage in St. Julians

Pros: Sehr nettes hilfsbereites Personal und schöner Spa-Bereich mit guten Anwendungen
Cons: Da Nebensaison war das Zimmer wohl etwas länger nicht benützt, einmal gut durchlüften hat die etwas abgestandene Luft vertrieben.
Sehr schönes Hotel in toller Lage und schönem Blick bei Zimmer in der oberen Etage mit Meerblick. Im allgemeinen ist Malta relativ zugebaut mit vielen Bausünden, das Le Meridien liegt an einer noch relativ kleinen Bucht mit ein paar historischen Gebäuden. Ideal die Busverbindung nach Valletta und die lange Promenade am Meer direkt vor dem Hotel.

Pros: Personale molto professionale ma anche familiare e disponibile ad ogni richiesta.
Cons: Non riesco a trovarne uno.
Location: Posizione buona. Dal piano 12 si domina la baia. Un po' distante dalla Valletta. Inverno non ottimale: primavera ed estate credo meraviglioso
Personale molto cordiale, disponibile e cortese ad ogni richiesta. Stanza grande. Letto enorme. Bagno e WC separati. SPA dotata di ogni confort.
