"Bula Spirt was nowhere to be seen. Owner clearly is sucking the place dry and not a cent spent on up keep. Food was really basic, trouble with over croweded boats and staff are very unhappy. Do yourself a favour and avoid. Very unpleasant stay, such a shame"

"The atmosphere at Bluewater is so relaxed and welcoming. The staff are so friendly and helpful - and Nunu's coffee is cafe quality👌The rooms are simple but clean and the pool is divine. Just a short walk to the beach where you can sit with a cocktail and watch the spectacular sunsets. Excellent value for money. The only thing that would be an improvement would be access to a kettle, but there is a fridge and microwave."

"Everything was excellent , from arrival to departure. They even checked us in at the hotel for our departure flight as they have a check in counter connected to the airlines."
"The property is large with lots of space. The staff are really friendly and helpful, with excellent manners and attention to detail.
Disappointment is that there are very few adult only areas and lots of children in the swim up bar ect. I won’t visit again based on this."
"I booked the Ocean front executive room which was large and had a great view. I was impressed with the warm Fijian greeting as they sang to us and gave us a welcome drink. The included breakfast was also impressive with as many options as a much more expensive hotel. The entertainment at night was great and the pizza we had at the beachside restaurant was good and prices even better. Do use caution walking around outside at night as we were approached by people to taxi us and we’re not authorized. I would not take any taxi unless recommended by your hotel. The water at beach is not clear and sand darker so don’t expect the postcard beach setting you think of when visiting Fiji. One funny thing was the battle of the bands at night with the band on our side playing just across the fence at Wailoaloa club at the same time…was truly funny trying o understand how they could hear clearly. Music did stop at our hotel around 9 but next door went on later. We could hear it from out 2nd floor room but wasn’t too loud. This is a good place for those who want some night life. We had upgraded amenities including robes and slippers in our exec room! I would stay here again night prior to flight out."
DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Fiji - Sonaisali Island
8/10 Good
"Hi ,
The resort has undergone some upgrading which is good since 2016/2017 when we were last there.
The nurses are spacious and generally well maintained in terms of cleaning however they are tired. The staff are generally friendly and good to deal with. We met up with a few from 2016/2017 who continue in evidencing Fiji hospitality of the old days. I don’t know that new staff are continuing with that same d style hospitality . Keisha/ Samantha / Miri / sala/ Anup / Sarona/ Vase our housejeroer for her beautiful note on our departure . Lovely staff to mention. One of the things we recommend is more loungers out and away from the pool areas. Not everyone likes to sit around the pool all the time. A really bad experience going into Jacks to buy gifts. They ounce on you and literally follow you around as if you are there to steal not to buy. We did complain about it . Although we bought gifts at the clothing section we did not buy with our discount clincher anything more. We have been travelling to Fiji for over 20 years and bought a lot of things from Jacks however will never support that business again as they are so unwelcoming and rude.
Thanks for a nice mini break"
"This accommodation was perfect for us as we were only staying one more night after leaving the island and flying back the next day rooms were clean, pool was great and food was also very good"
"Expedia is the issue. Cost me a ton of money as service back to airport didn’t come on the right day because Expedia is incompetent. Called 4 times to get it right and still wrong. Never book a package deal with Expedia. They can not handle any issue correctly. I am done with them for life"
