Nice for a few days
Hotel was alright for the price, is a good place for 3 or 4 days, not sure I’d want to stay for longer than a week. Amazing location, near the beach but far enough away it’s quiet. Breakfast wasn’t as good as expected but so many cafes nearby that could be better. The pool was nice and the terrace is very quiet. Service was good at reception, staff very helpful with directions and local knowledge. Would visit again!

Hotel Playasol Palma (Hotel Cactus)
The hotel is situated in a side road, short walk from the beach and close to supermarkets, bakeries, cafes, bars, car and bike rentals and restaurants. The hotel and local businesses are geared up for Germans, every most places I went spoke to me primarily in German, but also fluent in English and Spanish. Bus stops a few minutes away (€1.50 single trips of €5.00 to airport) Great base for exploring Palma. Hotel staff are very helpful. There is a swimming pool, bar, lounge and buffet breakfast/dinner. The rooms have an en-suite, tv with four English channels (although we only got two, Itv 2) Free use of safe (€10 refundable deposit) and air con. The beds are comfortable, but the frames a bit squeaky, if you know what I mean ; ) There is ample storage space for clothes, a desk with chair and large mirror. Towels, soap and gel/shampoo provided. Balcony had two chairs, table and ashtray. Daily room service. The rooms could do with a refurb, but are functional, spacious and clean. The hotel is on five floors, there is lift. A secure luggage room, should you arrive early or have a late flight. WiFi is free, although I found at times, especially in the evening slow. The other guests were not the quietest, loud on returns to their rooms at times, which was the only thing that would have made this a great stay, even though there are signs near stairs and lift asking guest to be quiet when arriving late. All in all the Hotel is good value for money, for what we paid.

Reasonable place to stay
Hotel old and ready for a refurb but fine for the price and as expected for a Spanish hotel. All staff were great especially Jose on reception. A few parking spaces at the front that was fine out of season, may be harder to find parking mid summer. It is in a German dominated area and as such the breakfast is more aimed towards their tastes but is again fine for the price. Excellent location just 200m or so to the beach and in the heart of the places to eat and drink. Would stay there again if back in that area of the island.

Late night stay on arrival to Majorca
We arrived after midnight so just needed somewhere to stay close to the airport to spend the night before driving to our final destination in Alcudia. The hotel provided adequate facilities, was clean and quiet and had a very good breakfast buffet included.

Parking a nightmare, one 7 car, carpark for all hotel, nearby streets full as near the beach, we had half board, food was terrible and I was sick in the evening after a dodgy tasting lasagne, cook kept appearing and coughing everywhere over food, would not stay again!

Friendly reception, very close to beach and to bus stops to Palma with cheap buses every 10 min. Great! Hotel is in good condition although could do with some restoration at places. Clean room, with showers and decent beds. What more could you want for a price like this...?

Hotel Cactus - Playa de Palma on Majorca
The hotel is located in a very pleasant area, close (but not too close) to Palma Airport. Local buses are frequent but often very busy. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and internet is available in the lobby area at a cost. Staff were very helpful and multilingual. Generally, the resort is used by and aimed at German visitors but we didn't find this to be a problem.

In 25 jahren ist es noch nie vorgekommen,das man mir verboten hat,meiner frau 1 tasse kaffee ans bett zu bringen.ich beschwerte mich an der Rezeption, die haben nur mit den achseln gezuckt. Der hoteldirektor hat bei einer anderen bewertung noch geantwortet,,die gäste sollen sich hier wie zuhause fühlen. Welche eine grosse Lüge. Wir haben während des gesamten Aufenthaltes auf das frühstück verzichtet,weil wir die mitarbeiter in dem keller ! Frühstücksraum nicht mehr sehen konnten. Wir so massiv enttäuscht über das Verhalten des Hotels,wir werden dieses Hotel NIE WIEDER betreten. Die gegend um das hotel ist eigentlich ruhig,aber jedemenge säufergruppen,das ist dann nachts nicht so witzig,weil die räumlichkeiten auch sehr hellhörig sind

Die Mitarbeiterin/er waren sehr freundlich, besonders morgens beim Frühstück. Das Essen war gut,genug,frish,vielfalt. Besser Möbel und ein Kühlschrank ware gut.Putzen Frauen waren da jeden Tag.Der Strand ist 5 Minuten entfernt. Der Badezimmerständer sollte verbessert werden, aber die Duschgelqualität war sehr gut.

Cómodo y agradable
Me costó encontrar el hotel manejando en auto pero está bien ubicado. Recomiendo incorporar frigobar a las habitaciones y colocar luz en los balcones. Estuvo todo muy bien!
