The property was spotless and the staff were freindly .very goodl.location.food was tbe only low point at the hotel especially breakfast. On the whole the best hotel we have stayed in so fat and will definitely be back .

I was on business so it’s not where I’d choose really, but perfect for mature couples age 60+ could not fault the service and quality of the hotel and staff at all, very nicely done up, yoga area, pool and hot tub. not many English speaking people. The food was a let down as very very basic and the local area has had its day. Blanes is much pettier and only 10 mins drive down the front.

Thank you for visiting and sharing your experience at Sumus Hotel Monteplaya. Blanes is a beautiful town. We recommend a visit to it's food market on Monday's along with the botanical gardens with views at the Costa Brava cliffs, but if you are not travelling by car can be a little bit uncomfortable to discover the surroundings or catch a train to go to Barcelona. Malgrat de Mar is renovating it's front promenade along with the Hotels. This, added to the easy access and connections, makes it a very comfortable and beautiful location to enjoy your holidays and discover Catalonia. Hope to meet again. Best wishes.

These are not complaints, just suggestions as it’s a lovely hotel with helpful, friendly staff and if in the area, we would definitely stay again. It was unusual that drinks etc had to be paid for immediately and not put on the room bill to be settled at checkout. Evening dining should have a dress code ie men not wearing shorts. There are a lot of older people and a ‘grab handle’ would be helpful in the shower as would a shelf to put shampoos etc on. In a good location.

Thank you for visiting and helping us improve our services. To use the room bill we need to block a certain amount from your credit card at your arrival. Being our customers mostly from travel agencies that already paid their holidays we don't use this service for a faster check-in. We will keep in mind to offer this option in the future. Grap handle and a shelf in shower are planned to be installed this coming winter when Hotel is closed. We do have a dress code code, but we also we understand that during summer people wear comfortable, and shorts are allowed. Hope to meet again!

Fantastic for a short break.
This hotel is a little gem. Check in was quick and easy with a little bonus of our room being available early. The room was spotless and furnished in a modern style. Although not large plenty big enough to get ready etc. The pool area again was spotless and, probably due to us visiting in May there were plenty of sun loungers always available. The staff, in reception, restaurant and the bar were polite, helpful and attentive. The resort itself is virtually just the promenade and one off here is a little tired and unattractive but you can get to lots of other places from the train station in town. Overall The hotel is fabulous and I cannot fault it and absolutely perfect for our 3 night stay.

Nice adults only hotel, bar staff and wait staff were lovely, night reception when we arrived was a lovely chap, day reception staff not quite as nice with myself seemed like asking for a late checkout although advertised all over the hotel was a little chore to sort out, overall a nice quiet hotel

Not bad
This hotel is nice enough and right across the street from the beach. Although, you can’t cross direcrly over, you have to walk a few blocks to the pedestrian underpass to cross the road but not a big deal. The are many shops and restaurants nearby and it’s not too far from town and a few attractions. At night though, the neighboring hotel plays REALLY loud music and our room happened to be right next to it. One night it was a bit excessive so we called the front desk to ask and within 10 minutes the music stopped. I think it stops at 11 pm anyway but there’s no way we could have slept if it had continued.

El hotel está muy bien, habitaciones bastante bien, el servicio fue muy bueno y el personal muy amable. El desayuno muy bueno, ya que tenía cantidad y variedad, de pastas, quesos, embutidos, etc y te preparan unas tortillas muy buenas al instante.

Wir konnten den Aufenthalt leider nicht annehmen, da wir nicht rechtzeitig im Hotel angekommen sind auf grund einer Panne. Wir hatten gehofft dass das Hotel uns entgegenkommen und uns für die nicht genutzte Nacht Nacht einen Gutschein oder Ähnliches erstellt. Leider war das Hotel nicht sehr entgegenkommend…

No ha estado mal, pero no repetiría
El hotel está bien situado, cerca de la playa. La habitación era pequeña, pero muy práctica. El personal es amable y todo está limpio y nuevo, aunque la habitación tenía un olor bastante fuerte como a anti insectos. En la habitación tienes una botella pequeña de agua de cortesía, así como una tetera con tés i cafes solubles. Hay varios puntos negativos por los que no repetiría mi estancia: La piscina es pequeña, por lo que se llena enseguida. La zona de hamacas cerca de la piscina también es justa, por lo que si te quedas en la piscina seguramente tendrás que estar en una hamaca bastante lejos de la piscina. El hotel pese a tener muchas habitaciones, tiene un único ascensor bastante pequeño, por lo que la mayoría de las veces tienes que subir y bajar andando para no tener que estar mucho rato esperándolo. Estuvimos en pensión completa, y destacar que al restaurante le falta organización, ya que al no tener turnos estuvimos un buen rato haciendo cola para poder acceder para cenar. En el bufet hay poca variedad de comida. A la hora del desayuno pasa lo mismo, que se junta mucha gente a la misma hora, y te toca hacer cola hasta para sacarte un café de la máquina.

Positiv: Das Zimmer hatte, wie gebucht, einen Teil-Meerblick und ein sehr großes und bequemes Bett. Auch das Bad war funktionell und hell mit einer großen Dusche und einer per Glaswand abgetrennten Toilette. Bis auf ein paar Haare von den Vorgängern war alles sauber. Negativ: Der Pool sieht auf dem Foto groß aus, hat aber eher die Größe eines Kinderbeckens. Der Wasserfall war immer aus und der Pool wurde um 18.30 Uhr abgedeckt. Der "Wellness-Bereich" im Innenhof lädt auch nicht zum Verweilen ein, weil man auch dort den ganzen Tag mit schrecklicher Musik beschallt wird und die Leute von den anderen Hotels rundum schön runterschauen können. Der Speisesaal ist riesig, ungemütlich und laut und das Essen ist nicht besonders gut. Vor allem das Fleisch war entweder roh oder übergegart und hart. Die Bar hat dank Energiesparlampen die Atmosphäre eines OP-Saales. Zwischen Hotel und Strand ist ein breiter Bürgersteig, eine Straße und ein unüberquerbares Bahngleis. Um an den Strand zu kommen, muss man erst mal eine Unterführung finden. Generell ist es trotz "Adults Only" ziemlich laut, da neben dem Hotel ein weiteres 3-Sterne-Hotel ist, wo den ganzen Tag die Kinder im Pool planschen und schreien und ab dem Abendessen bis in die Nacht Ballermann-Mucke und Schlager gespielt werden.

Una vera vacanza
Albergo bellissimo a malgrat de mar. Piscina su due livelli mai troppo affollata e piacevole da frequentare. Personale gentile e disponibile. Stanza non troppo grande ma pulita e nuova con balcone arredato. Colazione davvero ottima, cena molto varia con bevande a parte (consiglio di fare all'arrivo la tessera di 50 euro con 60 euro di credito di bevande). Animazione mai invadente sia di giorno che la sera. Appena si esce dall'hotel ti trovi viale che costeggia il lungomare (separato dalla ferrovia) pieno di locali e negozi. Spiaggia a 200 metri. Tutto consigliato assolutamente

Værelset var fint, vi boede på 3. sal med udsigt ud over havet. Med hensyn til morgenmaden kunne personalet blive bedre til at rydde af bordene og få fyldt op på buffeten, juiceautomat med mere. Poolområdet er meget lille og ikke særlig attraktivt. Nærområdet er rigtig meget turistet med souvenir butikker og forskellige landes barer.. På grund af beliggenheden kommer vi ikke igen, selvom værelset var godt.

Du béton parmi du béton
nous avons choisi cet hôtel en partie grâce aux photos des extérieurs, à sa position annoncée (sur la plage) et aux 4 étoiles affichées: nous avons cru en arrivant à une caméra cachée: cerné par des immeubles, la voix ferrée et la route nous n'avions qu'une envie:fuir; bien que "upgradés" en chambre supérieure, nous avions un bloc de béton garni de balcons digne d'une cité de banlieue face à nous! Pour autant, le personnel est au top, les buffets très moyens, la piscine bien trop petite (elle aussi entourée d'un champ d'immeubles). En fait c'est cette ville qu'il faut éviter si l'on est allergique au béton!

Merci pour votre visite. Nous sommes désolés que vous n’ayez pas trouvé l’espéré et rêvé. Nous avons la plage à 100 mètres, les routes de montagne à 500 mètres, la gare (directe vers le centre de Barcelone) à 400 mètres, la magnifique Costa Brava juste à côté .... Il est vrai que l’hôtel se trouve au centre de la promenade et nous ne sommes pas les seuls. L'année prochaine, nous aurons une promenade entièrement rénovée. Bonne chance.
