Upon arrival (at 1am), we were shown to a room with a twin when I'd booked a double. Whilst helpful, the staff member blamed Expedia despite my showing confirmation of my Expedia booking with a double. They found us a double room for that night, saying we had to move back to our original room by 10am the next morning.
After moving back to the twin, we were told we had to wait until 7pm to look at available double rooms. A double was found eventually, but it was smaller, had a less pleasant view (over the pool area that was noisy from 10am- 11pm, and other people's balconies could look into the room). The staff were helpful overall but seemed stressed.
The breakfast buffet was extensive, which was great. The service was good, and we ate well every morning. The gym was small but had a decent range of equipment. The staff said it was "free for one hour's use..." We never stayed over an hour but I cannot see how they'd be able to charge us?!
The rooms were small and sparse. Air conditioning was available, as were blackout curtains. There were only very bright main lights in the room and bathroom, so there was no option for lower level, "mood" lighting at night. No bedside lamp.
The bed linens were old fashioned and rudimentary: A sheet, a polyester cover and one pillow each. It's not a luxurious hotel, definitely for families on a tight budget. Not for romantic get away or for a bit of luxury. Very close to the beach.
