The small town of Malchow is located in the center of the Mecklenburg Lake District. Malchow lies between the Plauer lake and the Fleesensee. The small dreamy island town is surrounded by forests and lakes. The health resort offers everything for a relaxing holiday. It is also known as the island city, as the lovely old town is surrounded by water. The connection to the other parts of town is next to an earth dam on a swing bridge, which opens several times a day for boat traffic. Here are also passenger shipping, harbor, restaurants, cafes and shops. Other attractions include the monastery church and the city mill. A large beach and boat and bicycle rental and tourist attractions, such as monkey forest, bear forest or summer toboggan run complete the tourist offer. Due to the convenient location you can quickly reach beautiful cities such as Berlin, Rostock, Neubrandenburg or Schwerin.
