Great location in Verona especially if you are going to the Opera, the arena is only a minute walk away. During really hot days the air conditioning was struggling a bit.

Hotel room was a good size & comfortable. Staff were multi-lingual (including Italian, English, German, French) and helpful. Company / hotel policy did not allow them to book taxi in advance, only on a ‘want it now’ basis, which was a bit inconvenient. There was a small bar which did good toasted sandwiches - but this was the only food offering (outside of breakfast) as there was no restaurant, despite this being part of the listing on hotels.com. On advice from the barman we used an excellent restaurant just around the corner. Similarly, although there was a laundry bag in the room, and laundry facility was listed on hotels.com, there was no such facility for guests and staff advised using a self-service laundry about 1/2 mile away. There is a public bus stop very close to the hotel which was useful for getting to/from the centre of Verona. Underground, on-site, parking was ok - though spaces were small so with today’s size of cars most were spanning 2 bays which meant going down to the third level to get a space. The parking has a shuttered entry with a keypad to give access but, because contractors’ vans were parked whilst they were working on the side entrance to the hotel, there was no pull-in to enable registration and get the entry code - so we had to park ‘illegally’ whilst we got the entry code.
Overall, it wasn’t bad, but we were disappointed at the facilities we’d expected not being available.
