Which meant street parking, but it was never disclosed that water works have been happening for over a year and every single street around the property was Not accessible. We had to park 2 blocks away and bring all our luggage thru sand and stones. And later find a public parking (about 3 blocks) which costs us 30euros a day. So be prepared to add that to your budget in cash as they did not accept credit cards. We made the owner aware of the situation and he just brushed it off, not taking responsibility. We asked at the police station if it was ok to park on the street ( if we found a spot), and the officer responded that it was not safe to do so.So, either do not rent a vehicle or be prepared to pay extra money. Other than that, the apartment is not far from the city center, which made it convenient and we did not see any danger in the neighborhood. Esther, our housekeeper welcomed us with a big smile and many good suggestions, that ease off the sour taste of the parking issue.For those traveling from city to city, bring a few laundry detergent capsuls until you have a chance to go to the store (lots around), we just happened to arrive on a Sunday afternoon and they were closed. ##### Monik V.
