Beautiful area and incredibly comfortable stay
Our vacation suite was incredibly comfortable with a beautiful view and easy access to Baker Beach. Our hosts were helpful and accommodating offering great suggestions for hikes and touring the area. This was our 2nd stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it and all the adventures we had over the few days in the area.

Great spot in a great area.
Great location/views!! Pleasant area in which to walk. Picturesque beach nearby. Short drive yo restaurants, groceries, other outlets. Madeira Park is roughly at the half-way point along The Sunshine Coast -- there is much to explore and enjoy in either direction. Wayne and Kathy were solicitous and caring hosts.

Wonderful stay
Everything was great at this property! Wayne and Kathy are amazing hosts. They provided all the info we needed about hikes, restaurants and beaches. Suite is super comfortable, clean and private. Also you are getting an amazing views from every window. Loved the rain head shower. Location is great. Baker beach is a short 3minute walk away and what a beautiful beach it is. Wonderful stay! Can’t wait to return.

Had a great trip
Wayne and Kathy were great host and very helpfully providing local information, the location of property was very peaceful and quiet, it had all the amenities that you would need for a relaxing great getaway. They also let us use the hoses to clean off our Kayaks before heading home, We can’t wait to go back again.

Wow what an amazing experience. Everything was absolutely great! My partner and I booked a vacation for our 1 year anniversary in September long weekend and we stayed there for 2 nights. From the moment we got there, Cathy and Wayne were really great hosts. They met us at the front when we arrived and took our breakfast order, they went through the details, explained everything, told us about the best places to visit, the beach, gave us maps & magazines with things to do, etc. We were so impressed with how clean everything was! So much detail on everything, fresh smell, spotless. The bed is so comfortable, the bathroom shower was amazing and spacious, I had a makeup mirror with a little table facing the ocean, we had extra towels, the room had character with decorative instruments, lots of storage space, etc. We loved the view from the bedroom, we were in suite 2 and you can see the ocean from the window. At night Madeira Park is so quiet, so serene, it’s a beautiful place to relax. It was definitely worth the drive from the main Street. In the morning we had breakfast on the balcony. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Cathy is an amazing cook, the eggs were done perfectly. We felt so spoiled, we also had raspberry jam, yogurt & granola, the bread was healthy and delicious, everything was absolutely amazing. Baker Beach is 1 minute drive from the b&b and you can also just walk down, it’s right under where we stayed. It is absolutely amazing, beautiful, very private, beautiful views. On our drive to the beach we even saw 2 deer in the morning! On the second day my boyfriend (now fiancé) proposed on the beach at sunset, so it was a very romantic weekend for us and our hosts definitely made our stay the best. In the morning after our engagement Cathy made us cranberry bars with a little note “congratulations”. We thought that was so sweet! And the bars were delicious. We highly recommend staying here, absolutely amazing time! Thank you so much for making our engagement so special! We will definitely return.

Sunshine Coast
This rental is a wonderful calm place to stay. We were lucky to find it available for our dates. The location is great with a quick walk to Baker beach and short drive to stores and restaurants. There are so many beautiful spots to visit in the area we could’ve stayed longer. The view from the unit is beautiful. We could sit on the patio to enjoy the quiet morning or evening. The breakfast is so good! And the squares waiting for us on arrival were so yummy. Wayne and Kathy are wonderful hosts! We would love to stay again some day.

Top notch hosts and property
Our whole experience was just amazing. Wayne and Kathy are wonderful and one could not wish for better hosts. Not only was the property beautiful and location perfect for a quiet getaway and a great base for exploring the Sunshine coast, but the whole experience felt warm and we felt welcome from the first moment. Our new home away from home on Sunshine coast :) P.S. Wayne is a treasure trove of information on mountainbiking and paddling in the area.

Beautiful setting, comfortable suite, delicious breakfasts!
Our suite had a stunning view of the ocean and was just a short walk to a very pretty Baker Beach. The area in general is central to many must see sights, trails, and lakes - many of which we took in with the helpful suggestions of our hosts Wayne and Kathy. The suite is spacious and incredibly comfortable - our hosts were warm and welcoming and Kathy's delicious breakfasts were a terrific way to get us on our way each day. We will be back to enjoy more of the area and this gem of a B&B.

Beautiful and peaceful
Spacious, spotless room, very comfortable with king size bad and very nice bathroom. Ocean view, separate entrance. Breakfast was delicious, Kathy is excellent cook (home baked goods with home made jams were so tasty). We stayed three nights and we'll be back for more! Kathy and Wayne were great hosts!

The best B&B on the Sunshine Coast
You can't beat this place. Kathy and Wayne are incredible people who have created a warm, friendly and beautifully kept place to stay. They've thought of all the little things, from comfy beds and pillows, a great view, a large and beautiful space, the BEST food, and a great website with all the info you need. The breakfasts are huge and Kathy's baking is unbeatable. We can't recommend Baker Beach highly enough and will definitely be back.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful surroundings
Thank you Wayne and Kathy for being so accommodating and providing us with a wonderful two day stay! The breakfast was amazing, it was presented so attractively and was one of the best breakfasts we've had in a long while. We wish we could eat like that every day! Having coffee in the morning looking over the ocean was so peaceful. Baker beach, was only five minites away. This little pebble beach was really peaceful and beautiful and our little son just loved it there. It was unexpected to get yelled at by the aggressive people in the residence on the left side of the beach. As they sat on their property overlooking the public beach they yelled at my wife because she took a small piece of driftwood from the very large driftwood lean-to their kids had apparently built on the beach. Strange to have someone be so unnecessarily aggressive and confrontational in such an idyllic setting. Keep in mind this has absolutely nothing to do with Garden Bay and I still highly recommend Wayne and Kathy's as well a visit to Baker Beach.

We enjoyed your stay and company as well. So sorry you ran into the yahoo at the beach, I guess every public spot has the chance meeting like this. Just so other guests know as you mentioned your little son with you and enjoying himself...... We have a policy in place no children under 10 but we did allow and welcomed your stay as no other guests were in the other suite. So people wanting to book with children please contact us first to make sure young kids are OK?

Very happy to have discovered this B&B Gem
Living in Nanaimo, we have stared across the strait many nights, looking at the lights of Sechelt/Pender Harbour and wondering what the Sunshine coast was like. Together with our friends, we took a 3 day weekend to discover that side of the water, and were not disappointed! One of the best parts of the weekend was staying at the Baker Beach Bed and Breakfast. Wayne and Kathy were excellent hosts, the suites were so well appointed; beds super comfy, and the rain shower a delight! Everything is still very new and clean, and the view of the ocean was perfect. There is complete privacy, as the suites are above the garage separated from the main living area. Both of our hosts were very helpful with things to see and restaurant suggestions (thanks for the heads up on the Skookumchuk cinnamon buns! ) Kathy's breakfast was so good that the second morning we each asked for the exact same breakfast we ordered the day before (guests are given a number of options on the breakfast menu that is completed in the evening). I whole heartedly recommend Baker Beach B&B Thank you so much Wayne & Kathy for a perfect getaway.

Home away from home
Wayne and Kathy (plus Lucy) were the perfect hosts right from the welcome pastries, the tasty breakfasts and the awesome tips around the sunshine coast. The location was peaceful and quiet, the suite was of good size and was clean and orderly. There was a mini kitchenette with a toaster oven for easy to heat food/snacks, a fridge, and a coffee machine. The pantry was stocked with coffee beans, tea, cutlery and dinner ware in case you decide to stay in your suite for meals. The bathroom had a rainfall shower feature which I found was a bonus! The view off of our suite was the highlight of the trip and I enjoyed watching it from our patio. We also loved the hike in Francis point which was just a 5 minute drive away located in the same peninsula as the B&B. I definitely would recommend Baker Beach B&B if you are looking for a nice and relaxing getaway from the city! I'm sure I'll be staying with them the next time I visit the sunshine coast!

A fantastic stay.
Kathy and Wayne were the perfect hostess and host. They took care of everything but were never intrusive. The room was a perfect blend of simplicity and quality with a matchless ocean view. I wish I could have breakfast there every morning. It was superb. Of course nothing could compare to the oven fired pizza. That in itself was an incredible culinary experience. We will definitely do it again. This is a Sunshine Coast gem that is affordable and comfortable. Thank you Wayne and Kathy.
