I would happily return!
Beautiful place, super clean and tidy, service was very good, huge breakfast selection and I could hear the beach from where I was staying. Overall very happy with my room and hotel!

Hotel rooms are very updated and it has a good restaurant. Multiple pillows, and comfortable bed, with a good thermostat.

Cute little hotel near the ocean
Cute little hotel with great views of the ocean and the natural swimming pool. Only thing with the hotel is you must rent a car as it is at least an hour away from the main city of Funchal. The drive though is very picturesque. I loved staying at this place and they put out a decent breakfast. Please be aware though that the reception is usually unmanned and if you are arriving late you must inform them. Don't arrive after 10:00PM as you would not be able to check-in and maybe left stranded. There is no WIFI connection in the rooms which was very annoying. You have to come down to the reception if you wanted to connect to wifi. A short drive from the hotel is Se Vicente and Siexal both nice places to visit. The caves are also close by. These are activities you can do on your own if you have a car.

Promising hotel, tidy, but...
The smell inside was terrible. Had to sleep with both window and balcony doors wide open. Maybe it must be due to sea water mist coming inside and causing fungus. The view was great from room 307.

Good hotel about 10 yards from the sea
Had a brilliant week in Porto Moniz, Madeira , it was a bit quiet but that never put us off. Saw lava caves, tropical gardens, went into the mountains, there are some beautiful views but lots of lizards.

Nice hotel, nice staff, excellent location
The hotel is located just next to the swimming pools, rooms were very comfortable, clean, spacious. Staff was very helpful because we accidentally left our mobile phone on the room, and they kept it and returned it to us 3 days later :-) Breakfast was basic but everything we needed.

Good value for money
Good value for money, given the spacious size of the bedroom and the location of the hotel (very close to the natural swimming pools). Breakfast could have been better, but at least you have an amazing ocean view from the restaurant where breakfast is served.

A peaceful break from touring the island.
We had been to Porto Moniz on several occasions previously but never stayed overnight. The Salgueiro is centrally located with free street parking nearby and we received a a fine welcome. Our room was a good size but the balcony overlooked a construction site. However the breakfast items were fresh and tasty and included. We had dinner in the hotels restaurant both nights but the fish had seen too much butter/oil and the meat was much better. It proved an ideal location to relax for a couple of days in between touring and walking in Madeira and we'll certainly come back.

Aussicht auf das Meer vom Zimmer aus /- Frühstück sehr minimal gehalten - in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel - absichtlich Durchzug beim Frühstück - Mitarbeiter beim Frühstück unfreundlich/genervt - Steckdose vorhanden, aber das bett fest verschraubt über der Steckdose... - Lift hat gestunken! gratis Parkplätze vorhanden

Estadia agradável e descontraída.
Excelente localização, a escassos metros das piscinas naturais, o quarto era confortável, asseado e com varanda. O staff foi muito simpático e prestável. O pequeno almoço era muito completo e as refeições que realizámos no restaurante do hotel foram muito agradáveis. O único senão foi a dificuldade em encontrar estacionamento na zona, a determinadas horas.

Well situated (50m away from the natural pool). Nice restaurants also realy close from the hôtel. Shower was leaking and the room smelled a little weird. Bed were okay. Staff was realy nice and helpful.

Bon rapport qualité/prix sur Porto Moniz
Hôtel avec très bon rapport qualité/prix. Il est situé à 2 pas des piscines naturelles et des commerces. Les chambres sont propres et bien entretenues. Les style est un peu vieillissant mais rien d'alarmant. Un hôtel à conseiller pour visiter Porto Moniz et les environs. Des places de parking gratuites sont disponibles dans la ville ainsi qu'un terrain vague qui sert de parking. Nous y avons laissé la notre sans encombre.

Ich kann diese Unterkunft nicht weiter empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter sind äußerst unfreundlich, ich wurde beispielsweise mit einem “Sie können hier nicht sitzen, Sie sind nur eine Person“ von einem Tisch vertrieben. Das WLAN funktionierte nur im Restaurant und im Eingangsbereich, im Zimmer nicht. Das Frühstück war eine Frechheit für den Preis, den man bezahlt. Eine Brotsorte, nur etwas Käse und etwas Wurst und Butter. Eine lieblose Kanne mit Milch, nichts gekühlt, kein Obst oder Gemüse, richtig schlechter Kaffee und überzuckerter Saft, keinerlei Wasser zum Trinken. ICH WÜRDE ABSOLUT ABRATEN, DORT URLAUB ZU MACHEN.

Günstig und absolut empfehlenswert, direkt bei den Naturpools von Porto Moniz. Ausstattung und Zimmer schon etwas älteren Datums, aber absolut sauber. Großzügiges Frühstück ist inklusive.

hôtel très bien situé
Chambre trop petite pour 3 personnes, chaleur étouffante la nuit, rue bruyante et bruits de poubelle jusqu'à 1 heure du matin. Quand on paie pour 3 lits, on doit avoir 3 bons lits et non 2 bons lits et un lit de camp.
