"The hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable. Had dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed it quite a lot. There was a problem with HVAC when I checked into my room, but it was immediately and appropriately addressed."
"This stay convinced me to always stay at the Westin when I come to Cincinnati, couldn’t beat the location. Only wish is that the parking wasn’t in a garage separate/or the 48$ a day with the hotel"
"Breakfast was wonderful as usual. Room was fine. Just a little rough around the edges as others have noted, but clean. Walked to baseball stadium over the bridge. Great place to stay if going to a Reds or Bengals game . A 20 min walk. "
"This stay was excellent - maybe better than I expected.
Admittedly, the building is old (OK, historic) and with that go certain possibly unexpected things (like little stairs you have to go up with heavy suitcases in the lobby to get to the parking garage), but they seem to have kept everything pretty 'elegant' feeling, while keeping prices low and having all the basics in place.
Room:
- super quiet. these old building seem to have thick walls and thick floors.
- nice dark shades. the room darkening type. could have slept all morning.
- wish it had better electrical availability, especially by the bed on one side (there was a total of NONE on one side).
- extremely large room. we had a king bed, and the rest of the room was like 3 times the size of normal.
BATHROOM:
- had all the basics covered. Evelyn&Crabtree soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion
TV:
- we use a Roku stick which was easy to hookup to the HDMI. big, newish LG TV.
PARKING:
- attached garage and payment was through Metropolis which works really well. has in/out options and super-easy to use.
PRICE:
- really good price for the area.
WALKABLE:
- it is right downtown and we walked to the Red's game and back afterwards with no issues.
- lots of restaurants within a few blocks
Overall, great stay, great facility.
Downtowns are changing a lot, which is kind of sad, and this hotel reflects that, but as far as good value for what a hotel is supposed to do - this one wins.

The most popular time to visit Madeira is in January, when the island is alive with vibrant celebrations and mild weather. During this peak season, from December to February, temperatures typically range from 15 to 20°C, creating a pleasant climate great for exploring the island's breathtaking landscapes and enjoying outdoor activities.
With its stunning scenery, Madeira offers a wealth of opportunities for sightseeing. January is particularly special as it marks the end of the holiday season, with many local festivities still in full swing. You might catch the tail end of the New Year's celebrations, including fireworks displays and traditional events that showcase Madeiran culture. The lush gardens and levadas (irrigation channels) are great for leisurely hikes, allowing you to immerse yourself in the island's natural beauty.
For those considering a visit but looking for better value, November is a great alternative. The weather remains relatively mild, and you can enjoy a more tranquil atmosphere as the summer crowds dissipate. This month provides an excellent opportunity to explore the charming towns and stunning viewpoints without the hustle and bustle often found during peak times.
