Ready to relax and unwind?!?! There is nothing like lake sleeping after a beautiful sunset across the water!

This lakefront home has updated features like new flooring, throughout, updated 2nd bath and new sleeper/sectional in main living room. The home is thoroughly cleaned after each guest, perfect for a family get away or a group of friends looking for a weekend adventure. This 3-bedroom, 2 bath lakeside retreat is the place to make those memories happen. Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee on the fully furnished covered porch, while watching a flock of Ducks pass by. Later as evening arrives, take in the breathtaking sunset views on the open water. Lots of room for all to gather around the over-sized stone fire pit. Roast marshmallows, make s'mores and reminisce about the days fun filled events.

While inside this cozy retreat, gather in the kitchen while preparing dinner, looking out over the lake. With 3 fully furnished bedrooms, a pullout couch and additional bunkbeds. The home comfortably sleeps 6 -8 adults and/or 4 children. The open concept provides two living rooms that can be enjoyed by all or to provide the adults space to stretch out on the comfortable lounge furniture while the kids take over the game room. Board games and a giant Jenga game are provided for all to play. The home is equipped with 3 TV's with Roku's, you have access to all of your favorite Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc., web-based entertainment. WIFI is provided, allowing you to stay connected, however while at the lake, we do recommend 'unplugging.'

The home is located on an oversized lot that offers a large, enclosed side yard. Take advantage of the lake, bring your fishing gear and try your luck. Go swimming or just float in the expansive protected cove with beautiful lake views. You have easy access to 2 private boat ramps, visible from the home, bring your boat and jet skis to enjoy! The home has a covered boat house with a new lift and a single jet ski lift.

Easy to get to, just an hour’s drive from downtown Dallas. This retreat is conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants in Gun Barrel City or Athens. Explore the largest flea market in the U.S. with a trip to Canton’s First Monday Trade Days (held on the weekend adjacent to the first Monday of each month), only 30-minute away! IF you like to get out and explore, a book of suggestions is provided along with tips for enjoying your stay.

Beautiful house and location

We loved the house and location on the lake. Sunsets were amazing and there’s plenty of room to swim and play in the water. The whole family had a blast and we’re already looking forward to a return. Best place we’ve rented at Cedar Creek!

Canton girls trip

Wonderful quiet place away from the crowds of Canton but within a short drive to thrifting! Lots of yummy restaurants close ba and the views are amazing.

Nice access to the lake. Nice living areas. The table in the main living area is a little too big to be able to easily access the sectional seating area.Fan on back porch appears to have a burned up motor. Would have been nice if it worked, especially to sit on the porch in evening.This was our second stay at this location.

The views are amazing

The house sits right on Cedar Creek reservoir and has stunning sunsets and views. It’s such a relaxing place to stay. Definitely family friendly.

Best place for a family gathering

So thoughtfully appointed. Very comfortable stay. Everythjng we needed for our stay! Our hostess met us and went over the property. Beautiful sunsets. Really great outdoor deck to watch the birds on the lake. Highly recommend.

Great weekend retreat

This was a great place for a relaxing weekend retreat. The neighborhood is sketchy until you get to the property, which was nice. The house was very clean and had everything you needed to have a relaxing weekend with the worry of forgetting stuff such as plates, utensils, etc. the check in process was very easy and they host/owners responded quickly. Even though the bowl dock was partially closed for storm damage repair , we were able to use it without issues. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely sunsets and Lake view

We really enjoyed the patio and lake view and fenced in side yard for our dog. The home was clean and not far from some retail areas as well. We also enjoyed fishing from the dock even though the fish were not biting that day.

The neighborhood was not what was expected based on location. However, the inside of the property was very clean and the back porch view of the lake was beautiful. Laura the owner even stopped by to bring soap and chat.

Relaxing Weekend

Laura was very friendly and helpful. The house was clean, beds were comfortable and had plenty of towels. The kitchen had what we needed to cook a meal, a regular coffee pot and a Keurig. We had a great time using the paddle board and just relaxing on the back porch. We liked that it had a fenced area for the dog.

The porch is my happy place!

The place was spotless and the side yard is great for fur babies. The neighborhood is a bit rough, but once you are at the rental is is amazing. The lake is so peaceful. The porch was where I relaxed with morning coffee and evening sunsets. Stayed the week of the eclipse and was able to observe totality from the backyard. The fire pit is really nice and we made some great s'mores ♥️

Needs Updates

Needs update: Carpet needs to be cleaned, unlevel floors, bedroom doors need to be held by a block, boat dock needs boards replaced and spider webs knocked down. The backyard view is amazing for sunsets! Clean bathrooms and kitchen! Great host! Jessie and Laura were awesome!

Great Stay

The house is really nice, and very clean. The manager met us at check in and showed us around the place and was there to ask any questions we had. We were hoping for warmer weather, so we could actually get in the water, but with the wind and the clouds we ended up just handing on the porch and by the water. Which was the second best thing, to swimming/floating. The view is wonderful, lots of bird and boats to watch. There are a lot of places to DoorDash from in the area, and we had a spectacular weekend just hanging out.

Good Stay Overall

The neighborhood was a little scary but once at the property all seemed ok. Jessi, the property manager was wonderful. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. Ample sleeping and living areas. The only reason not giving a perfect rating is the Adirondack chairs were mostly broken and unusable. Glad we brought our own. The outdoor speaker was also not working. But everything was really nice and overall had a fun family weekend with friends
