The house was fully equipped, decorated nicely, and very clean and welcoming for us. It worked perfectly for our holiday plans! The waterfront view was amazing! It’s close to shopping and the Solomon’s Island area. Peter is a great host and we’re looking forward to returning!
Property is better in person…
Pete was a great host, no issues with check in..
House was spotless, well stocked and ready for us.. Everything is there for you to have a great time… Highly recommend
My stay was beautiful, excellent, peaceful, very relaxing. My views from the house was beautiful, the sounds of the waves of the water was much needed to detox from everyday life. We fished & crabbed took in the scenery. Our host is/was great wonderful timely response to all my questions.
We had a wonderful stay and loved the location. A highlight was catching 2 crabs the last day and eating them for breakfast. Thanks for providing everything that we needed!
Clean and nice location. Worked perfectly for our visit to the area to spend time with our daughter, son-in-law, and two perfect grandsons. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and location.
The Waterfront Retreat on the Patuxent River is better than advertised. Our whole family stayed -- everyone loved it! It was clean, comfortable, with everything needed to stay comfortably, sleep, eat, relax and use as a home base for exploring. Solomons Island and the surrounding area was filled with lots of fun things to do (restaurant's, museums, history, boating, walking, etc.).
The house was awesome, the view couldn’t have been better. Loved everything about it, quiet and peaceful and it is on a dead end short road with wildlife in the yard in the morning, deer, fox, blue heron, bald eagle, geese and ducks, just fabulous. Will definitely be going back soon I hope.
This property was amazing. Everything was clean and stocked with anything you could need. The view is amazing, Couldn't have asked for a better place. Very comfortable. Loved sitting on the deck and relaxing as the boats came by, watching the birds, fishing and crabbing from the front. Just an amazing stay. Close to everything we came to do.
Great house and location. Clean, well stocked, comfotable. Better than the pictures. Safe and Perfect for my little dog, 2year old grandson, my daughter and me.
Beautiful home and property! The house was wonderful, clean, and comfortable. My wife, 9-year- old son, and I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We had some luck fishing as well, mostly Spot, but my son caught a Flounder on his first cast, riding the bottom. Highly recommend to families looking to relax and enjoy the river/bay. Thanks, Pete!
This property is beautiful. If you want to crab it’s the bomb. If you don’t crab and just want to sit and look at a gorgeous view this is also the place. The host thought of everything. Super comfortable rooms and beds… great atmosphere….easy to get to. Amenities close by. House is packed with everything for kids and adults alike.
Our family had a awesome time staying here. Having the convenience of many stores close by was also nice. Pete was great with his communication and information that was left in the house. We even got to see a ground hog climbing up the tree outside. That was definitely a first for us. We enjoyed our stay!
The house and the location are great, but it’s Pete’s attention to detail that makes this property truly special. The house is equipped with everything you need to enjoy quiet, relaxing vacation: linens, toiletries, cookware, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, fishing gear, bikes, and big beautiful Maryland blue crabs.
We had a very restful time. Pete did leave a lot of information about things to do. Steps up to the house were difficult for my husband, but the view was great once situated. Property was very well stocked! Great kitchen for those who like a cooking vacation (Not us!). Did not realize the property was so far from all the restaurants and spent a lot of time in the car. (No reflection on Pete.)
We stayed with four adults and two kids and the house worked well for the group. The kitchen really is stocked with pretty much any and all equipment you can imagine as well as a great collection of herbs and spices. We had no problem cooking up a great Easter meal. There's plenty to watch on the water going by.
This was our second time staying at this house on the Patuxent River, it's a very well stocked and clean home.
Pete is a great owner, and I would recommend this place again and again. Only thing that may be difficult for some are the steps going into the house.
Pete, Thanks again for a Great stay.
Thank you, Pete, for a great vacation.
The place is truly amazing and has everything you need: nice and clean house with it's sole and a fully stacked kitchen, great views on the water with different boats coming in and out, nice and spacious front lawn on the bank where we spent hours playing games, fishing, crabbing, and just relaxing in comfy chairs.
Not for swimming though...
Special thanks to Pete for his hospitality, prompt communication, answering all the questions and providing clear instructions.
We love this place! This was our second time renting from Pete. He is listed as a VRBO Premier Host, defined as " Consistently provides great experiences for guests! " That is absolutely true, Pete goes out of his way to make sure that you have everything you need for a relaxing stay. ( Wine and chocolates too! )The house is beautiful , comfortable and clean with fabulous water views and is truly a wildlife retreat as described!
The house is beautiful and has EVERTHING you need if you want to chill and catch/eat crabs…and in comfort. Your host will have you set up to catch crabs and enjoy the water and the beautiful state of Maryland in every way. Thank you Pete!!!
We came out from Hawaii to see my Daughter and Grand Daughters. The over all experience from start to finish at the property was easy and flawless. Some days it was just my wife and I and other days it was with my grand daughters spending the night, they also enjoyed the stay. There is plenty of room. The property has an excellent view and we saw some wild life. We would stay at this property again and would highly recommend it to others.A hui hou,"until we meet again," Mark and Tamara
Had a great stay. Property is just as described in listing, and all the essentials are provided. Very clean and decor is perfect. Owner responded quickly to all questions and communications, and provided a few extras to make our stay even more special. We caught (and released) several fish our last day there, and enjoyed watching the boats come and go while we were sitting there. Cool surprise the first day seeing (and hearing) the jets fly overhead towards the Patuxent NAS.
We enjoyed our relaxing stay - we did not go out except one night - so we were cooking in a lot. Read books, feasted on wonderful crabs that we caught and watched the beautiful boats and F-16s.
We thought the linens were really nice and the beds comfortable - which may seem like an odd thing to comment on but we care about that - and the cooking equipment, spices and supplies were one of the best of any rental we have stayed in.
