Eaglet Cabin near the Shenandoah River





  • Eaglet cabin is a newly-built vacation rental cabin. It's near our Eagle's Nest, Tree Top and Oak Tree cabins and, like them, is near the river, sitting up high above the river with an area to walk down to the river's edge. It's part of an 18 acre "fish trap" location that was used by ancient American Indians hundreds of years ago.



    Eaglet is a cozy cabin with a modern beautiful exterior and interior. Hardwood floors, stainless appliances, flat-screen TVs - everything is new, luxurious and waiting for your personal enjoyment. The pictures capture some of the beauty, modern design, nature and open spaces. Take a look at those and drink it all in!



    In terms of size, Eaglet is meant for single families or two couples for a max of 4 guests. There is one bedroom and 2 twin size air mattresses, with one bathroom and a laundry room.

    PLEASE NOTE: The optional firewood charge of $15/night is for firewood for the outdoor fire pit. (The indoor fireplace at this property is gas.) If you don't think you will use the firewood or would like to bring your own, please let us know! We are more than happy to refund that to you.



    No parties, events, or gatherings of guests that are not included in the reservation are allowed at Eaglet



    The base rate includes 2 people. Additional guests are extra $35 per person per night, please read the itemized charges carefully and make sure to make your reservation for the correct number of guests that will be staying. Thank you!



    Pet Fee: $85 per dog ( max 2 dogs) - No Cats



    Please take your trash with you. There is dumpster access at the Shenandoah River Outfitters (less than a mile from the property). The house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag, if you would prefer.



    There is a separate security deposit required for this property. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions about it- we are happy to answer them!

Perfect getaway

We loved our stay at this place. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn't, which made for a very relaxing getaway. The hotub was perfect, the firepit was so cozy, and the mountain views are unbeatable. We'd definitely stay here again.

Peaceful weeks stay

We had a great time relaxing at Eaglet cabin. The hot tub was amazing and the space was perfect for us to unwind. The kitchen is fully equipped for your needs , and having a washer and dryer was clutch. We really enjoyed our stay!

Everything we were looking for.

This property was secluded and quiet but close enough to town (Luray) to make a quick trip in for whatever you need. Perfect log cabin vibe on the interior of the property. Great views from the house and near by. Short drive to Shenandoah National Park which was key for us.

Wonderful getaway

This little cabin is perfect for escaping from the big city for the weekend. We came with plans for hiking and seeing the caverns, and wound up staying in the cabin for most of the weekend with a bottle of wine. Very relaxing and lovely.

This cabin was a joy. Went to fishtrap with 2 other groups for 4 days. That cabin was perfect. Stocked with wood. Very cleaned which is usually unexpected. Will definitely return.

Weekend getaway

Very nice and clean property, nice seasonal touches. Promt response from the house manager about the hot tub, having some sediment in it from the well. The perfect place to getaway from life and relax.

Cozy weekend cabin!

We stayed in the Eaglet cabin this past weekend. We LOVED it. The cabin was so comfortable and the location is great. A little walk down to the river was the perfect exercise for us this weekend. The cabin has all things you need. The only thing we could even comment on was the TV’s are small for the size of the cabin, but if that’s our first world problem, so be it! They are smart TVs so that’s great. I did have to clean the hot tub a bit before using because there was debris and a line of muck around the rim. Over all, we loved our stay and will be back next year for a getaway. We may even stay in a bigger cabin closer to the river, but the Eaglet was perfect for us. I so enjoyed a relaxing weekend.

Awesome getaway!

We discovered the eaglet through bring fido and could not have been happier with this place. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The eaglet had amazing views in the summer that will only get better during the fall foliage. We highly recommend grocery shopping if you’re there for more than a few days as food in town was limited but that is not shenrentals fault. You will never run out of firewood and stars in the sky at night here! Our dog loved laying in the sun from the giant windows that face the back of the house. The hot tub and grill worked flawlessly for outside amenities. Lastly the deck that’s off the upstairs bedroom is absolutely perfect for morning coffee watching the fog roll off the mountains. I cannot say enough good things about this place. 10/10.
