As you walk the lane you get a great view of the hilltop town. Great place to be for Maggiolata festival...so close. Pool and surrounds were beautifully set out. We used the cute outside BBQ building. Comfortable beds, good showers, good kitchen to work in. We had many happy feasts at the outdoor tables. The swimmingpool more than you can wish for! Lilly was very welcoming and her lovely staff around if we needed anything, which we didn't. The villa is simple and has what you need but no more than that. The beds I must admit could do with an upgrade, not comfortable, but apart from that it really was the most wonderful week and we are so glad we found such a fabulous place to holiday with our friends. A fine house with a great pool and nice garden. What me and my family didnt like was the landlord who visited us almost every day and had comments and remarks on how we lived in the villa we rented and what we where doing. She made us feel uncomfortble for at least two of the days. She had people att the villa and where selling furniture to them and it was right under our nose. The town of Lucignano was walking distance,charming,people lovely We 3 couples had a wonderful stay, the villa was great and pool perfect after a day of sightseeing or just lounging. I would recommend the owner charge slightly more if needed to have basic supplies on hand, soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, citronella candles, including linen and pool towels for summer especially for those traveling a long distance. I would also suggest any specific instructions the owner has be put in writing and left at villa for reference throughout the stay.Lucignano is a charming walkable town with friendly shopkeepers especially the wine lady, also good little market. The villa is a gerat location for visiting the many hill towns of Tuscany. We had a wonderful time,cooked and ate meals out side watching sunset on several evenings. Gli appartamenti separati ma adiacenti per due famiglie risultano molto comodi e perfetti per avere più privacy e silenzio nei momenti di riposo. Die gesamte Anlage ist für 6 Personen perfekt geeignet. Der Pool ist traumhaft mit fast 12 m Länge ein Genuss. Lediglich die Innenausstattung lässt zu Wünschen übrig und ist im Grunde genommen dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Das Haus wirbt mit dem typischen Toskana-Möbel-Stil, aber dennoch sind die Möbel und Ausstattung sehr abgenützt. Besonders die Küche lässt zu Wünschen übrig. Es wird Zeit für eine Auffrischung der Möbel. Ansonsten haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders optimal ist die Nähe zum Ort Lucignano. Man kann am Abend zu Fuß in den Ort gehen bzw. Einkaufen gehen. Nous avons passé plus d une semaine dans cette maison et nous ne n'étions pas tranquille. En effet, trop de va et viens alors que c'est censé être privé (des personnes qui entre pour récupérer des choses au garage , femme de ménage qui s'éternise à laver la piscine etc....) L intérieur de la maison est vraiment en.mauvais était (armoire abîmé, commode inutilisable ) la vaisselle est limité. Il devait y avoir une 2eme cuisine et sans nous prévenir, nous avons trouvé la porte fermé, J ai contacté par mail l agence et ils nous ont dit que c'était à cause du COVID vraiment n importe quoi sachant qu'ils auraient pu nous prévenir avant notre arrivé. However having basic cleaning supplies, paper goods,citronella candles, pool towels and possibly an extra pillow or two would make a stay that much better and less frustrating.An extra 25-50 euros a week to rent to include these necessities would go a long way in the reviews and repeat renting especially if you are looking to rent to people outside of Italy. The lack of these essentials just makes the owner look cheap. Also having house rules or instructions for appliances such as washing machine in writing at the villa for reference is usually pretty standard. This is a great place in a super location walking distance from a charming town with good access to the surrounding hilltop towns. With some TLC this villa would be a super place and a gold mine for the owner. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again. It is just a shame the managing isn't better ##### Carleen D. Leider mussten durch unseren Hof die Hausbesitzerin und weitere Mieter fahren, so war eigentlich fast immer etwas los. Bei unserer Ankunft mussten wir leider erst mal alles an Geschirr waschen, da mehre Dinge schmutzig im Schrank standen. Das Außengelände und der Pool waren jedoch Top und haben zum Entspannen eingeladen. Das nahe Örtchen Lucignano liegt wunderschön am Berg und hat einige leckere Lokale zu bieten. Alles in allem haben wir unseren Urlaub in der wunderschönen Landschaft der Toskana genossen und werden sicher nochmals kommen, allerdings in ein anderes Haus. ##### Sabine F. Lilly is a very good host and the house is nice! You can get to a great grocery store just a few minutes away. The location is close to all kinds of beautiful little hill towns. Villa Gloria was the perfect base for walking (you can do it just from the road outside) and for visiting Arezzo, Cortona, Montalcino, Montelpuciano, Pienza, and lots more. We were sad to leave and can't wait to visit again. The directions to the villa are great and the overall location is great.
