This villa is simply the perfect place to enjoy relaxing summer evenings with family and close friends while experiencing a piece of Tuscan paradise. Mammoli Castle has been carefully and meticulously restored as a luxury villa. For centuries olives have been harvested in Mammoli from the hillside terraces surrounding the castle. Dating back to the 10th century, as a nuleo watchtower defending the city of Lucca, with its large farm it is fully operational, squeezing some of the best olive oils that Lucca has to offer. Take the rest and relaxation you deserve among the splendors of Tuscany! The Castle is surrounded by terraced olive groves overlooking the valley, from the swimming pool to the ancient medieval monastery of Mammoli which overlooks the hill itself. During its restoration, the remains of the ancient medieval site were found consisting of two mullioned windows set in what were the ancient cellars that once contained the freshly pressed oil which was a precious and valuable asset. Bright splashes of color enhance the ambiance in every room of this beautiful 6-bedroom country villa that sleeps up to thirteen people. The living room combines stone walls with terracotta and crystal chandeliers with Persian rugs, and in other rooms, antique furniture contrasting with the beamed ceilings. Although the castle is surrounded by a well-kept garden, it has plenty of space to relax. For fun, there's a pool, private bar, and Wi-Fi access; for quieter moments, there is space for reflection on the terrace overlooking the building just below the ancient Mammoli monastery. The privileged location of Castello di Mammoli balances elegance and prime location as convenient access to Lucca (less than 10 minutes by car) and other regions of Tuscany, with exceptional restaurants, night clubs and many local experiences such as wine tastings and classes of cuisine in addition to its famous tourist sites.
