House "Luebienchen" former workshop building over 2 floors

The “Luebienchen” house is located 500 metres from the main train station, at the rear of the property. Although situated in the heart of the city, the dense development along the surrounding streets creates a quiet, idyllic setting.

Unfortunately, due to this development, the cottage is accessible only through the basement of the front house. However, the cottage itself more than makes up for this.

The fully equipped kitchen features a refrigerator with a 3-star freezer compartment, a dishwasher, an electric stove, a microwave oven, a coffee maker, a kettle, and, of course, everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. Speaking of food: various discount stores, small produce shops, snack bars, and three restaurants can be found within a 500-meter radius.

Unfortunately, the very dense development means that parking spots are in high demand.
Loading and unloading is permitted while double-parked. And throughout the day, there’s always an opportunity to move the car to an available parking spot—with no time restrictions.

But now back to the cottage. The kitchen area can be separated from the living area by a slatted curtain—after all, you don’t necessarily want to look at the mess in the kitchen when you don’t feel like cleaning up. In the evening, the ethanol fireplace invites you to wind down the day in comfort.
A steep staircase leads up to the ground floor. Two single beds (80x200) ensure a good night’s rest for the next day (bed linens and towels are provided). The bathroom, complete with a toilet, sink, and shower, is also located on this floor.

One more note about the upper floor:
The ceiling height drops from 210 to 180 cm, so you might want to duck your head!
You can start the next day with breakfast on the terrace.

Thanks to its proximity to the main train station, there are plenty of things to do during the day: how about a trip to the beach (a train runs to Travemünde-Strand once an hour—25 min. travel time—and you’ll avoid the near-impossible task of finding a parking spot in Travemünde) or a trip to Hamburg with its endless attractions (a train departs about every 30 minutes, travel time 45 min.). Or you can walk through the main train station towards the city centre (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), past the tourist information office and the world-famous Holstentor (about a 20-minute walk); of course, you can also take the bus—bus stops are located about 100 metres from your accommodation. You’ll get many more tips from your hosts (who live in the front building themselves).

P.S. The €60 cleaning fee will be credited towards your next booking of the cottage if the actual cleaning time is less than one hour.
This means:
- The house is vacuumed and mopped
- Used bed linens and towels are placed in the shower
- The dishwasher is emptied
- Trash has been disposed of in the bins in front of the main building
So basically, if you leave the cottage just as you found it (except for the laundry—I’ll do that myself), you’ll save the cleaning fee on your next stay!
I always get annoyed when I leave a holiday rental cleaner than I found it and am still asked to pay for cleaning.
