Top, top, top! We were given a warm and personal welcome by the hotel manager. Thank you, Mrs. Francia. The rooms were incredibly stylish, elegant hand comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the mattresses were brilliant – we were even given an upgrade. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and rather fancy. It was the only hotel where we found low fat- and sugar-free products, such as plain yoghurt or coffee with no sugar added. At lunch we got to try some delicious traditional dishes, and the margaritas were fabulous. Last but not least, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; they make you feel like part of the family, not just a random guest. Thank you, Airry; thank you, Lid; thank you, Sommai; thank you, Larnoy. If I could make a wish, I’d wish to return to Burasari Heritage again.

This hotel has it all. It is in a fantastic location. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and if you have a room on the ground floor you can get a small terrace. The breakfast is good and you get the best coffee.

The hotels staff is lovely and their restaurant is good, location is great too. The problem is that the hotel's deluxe room is basically have no sound insulation, so be ready for that - they even have earplugs as a standard item waiting for you in the room. My worst experience though comes from how i was handled by hotel's reception and management.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous original wood and feel. The AC in the room was powerful and everything was very clean. The location was great and walking distance to the main drag of shops, night market, and morning alms. The staff was so kind and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious. We will be back!

Great heritage buildings in normally good location. Staff very good. But major works on the river are noisy and the traffic and noise around 530 am for monks alms is considerable. Rooms need facilities upgrading but tough in heritage site. We did enjoy the hotel and things of issue beyond their control mainly.

Full of character in a great location

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are luxurious while also maintaining the character of Luang Prabang. The restaurant was delicious as well. The location is perfect for walking around Luang Prabang and down to the Night Market. It was hard to get responses from the hotel at times before we arrived and we had some issues with attempting to arrange transfers through the hotel but it was also a holiday which complicated things. We had no trouble getting a taxi instead. Great price for a lovely place to stay.

Beautiful room and woodwork. Only problem was I was on a corner by street and room had hardly any soundproofing so could hear neighbors talking till quite late. Also the dog occasionally barking . There was a confused rooster who started crowing at 3 am also. Not within the hotel’s control but not a good fit with the soundproof issue. Perhaps a room back into the center of the property would be much better. All staff were great and the massage was good.

The pros: The rooms are beautiful and super clean. The area is a nice, fairly quiet street about 10 minutes walk to town. Cons: Overall I do think the staff could have been much more attentive and helpful for this level of hotel. There was no explanation of the facilities, and when I was concerned about noise and privacy due to my room being right next to the restaurant and on street level, the reception staff said they were full and there was nothing he could do. I later checked the bookings available online and it showed empty rooms…(which I understand is not always the case but the general attitude was a bit apathetic). It’s also worth noting that as my room was on the lower floor, it was unbelievably loud as the buildings is old and there were guests upstairs. It kept me awake as long as they were moving around. For a room/hotel that is not exactly cheap, this was pretty irritating. Overall there is a lot of potential for this hotel, but the details were not considered making for a pretty disappointing experience.

Aloha, Luang Prabang, Laos was a hidden gem we have wanted to visit for some time now. We chose Burasari for our stay and it met our expectations. The property was conveniently located and well maintained. The staff were kind and welcoming. We have to say that several of the staff made our stay memorable. The front desk staff, Somair aka Airry, Vanh aka Teddy and KP, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. We had breakfast daily in the restaurant and chose to have dinner at the hotel restaurant twice because the food was so delicious. Not greeted use and cared for us daily during breakfast. Larnoy and Sommai took care of us during our dinner meals. The two chefs, Ms. Nunee and Ms. Or, have a talent and we were honored to have their wonderful food. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend a stay at Burasari. Mahalo! LandLTravelwithAloha
