"I really enjoyed my stay overall; and I felt like the room was super clean upon arrival. The last day I woke up early to use the bathroom and went to make coffee. With the lights low, I discovered roaches in the kitchen. I was already checking out that morning, so I did not request to move rooms, as I just packed up my stuff and kept it on the luggage rack. This was the only highly disappointing aspect of my stay, and it would deter me from booking here again. The staff and amenities were exceptional, but I cannot look past this part of my stay."

"Just keep scrolling past this property. The room had a sewer stink that the property is well aware of, but our booking rooms in that area regardless. Because I have lung cancer I was very concerned about breathing in sewer, gas, had a crazy headache, and was throwing up because of it. The manager who I’m pretty sure has no soul did nothing about it, and in fact was more upset that an employee said that it is common in certain parts of the hotel. I tried to even cut my vacation short because of my illness, but was denied a refund for the unused nights. finally after six nights of living in sewage smell, they moved my room so I had two nights of clean air, but very cold as the air conditioner was not working. Also, they must’ve cleaned the room in a hurry because I noticed eyelashes behind the toilet belonging to the previous occupant. In addition to the inhumanity of that, just about everyone from the soulless manager to the wait staff have a scowl on their face. No one says hello no one smiles at you. They pretty much throw your food at you particularly in the buffet. It’s a shame too because I usually tip very well at these places, but absolutely refuse here because of the attitudes. It’s very disheartening to walk up to somebody and smile and say good morning and have them scowl at you. One of the men making omelettes looks like he’d rather be dead than serve you an egg. Not sure about you, but this is not the way I want to spend a vacation."

"Everything was super clean and nice. The only issue was that I didn’t expect the room to have no electrical outlets near the bed or the couch, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything was great. The breakfast was delicious, the pool was outstanding, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel."
Sonesta Ocean Point All Inclusive, Adults Only Resort

"Although the food and drinks were good, the customer service was terrible. Staying at this resort was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The staff were not friendly and not accommodating. I had no AC for 3 of the 4 nights there. After several complaints and multiple maintenance workers failing to fix the issue, they offered to upgrade me to a different room the night before checking out (my birthday) at 10:30pm. They did not offer a bellboy to assist with moving my bags from one room to the next. They only wanted to offer me a $50 credit which was useless since it was offered the night before checking out. The manager claimed she will find a different way to compensate me for my unfortunate stay but instead of offering anything I was approached with constant questioning and the run around until I checked out. Nothing was resolved. The bartenders were rude at the bars and the staff all around were not welcoming at all. Very disappointed with the stay and lack of customer service. I don’t recommend staying here."

"Hotel is outdated but clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Bedding was clean. Clean towels every day. Beach towels can be exchanged for clean ones every day. Lots of restaurants within short walking distance. Grocery store within short walking distance. Pool clean but loud because is right next to airport. Beach very nice and clean but personally, do not like waves. Next time we would stay at La Plage just to avoid loud noise from the airplanes. Other beaches like Mullet Beach or Grand Case are so quiet and water is crystal clear. Less crowded than Maho beach"

"The location is awesome your by everything the food that is around the area is awesome too . However the pictures that are posted online when booking and seeing the actual room itself seem different. Plus it was supposed to come with daily cleaning they didn’t really clean anything our room had ants and bugs wasn’t clean . Our stay was supposed to come with breakfast they charged us would I stay here again I don’t know ! Staff was okay could be more friendly my only real issue was the cleanliness and bugs in the room"

"They don’t provide towels, they start charging after only giving one water bottle, the shower is also cracked open a little which makes water get out on to the floor, the breakfast is very bland and simply same thing everyday, the air conditioner was very light, but the pro is that it was close to many stores and beaches."

"The view is all you need to see Maho. The sliding door is so thick you don't hear the planes taking off. Location Location location location best place to be if you want to stay in Maho."
