We had a great time at the Finca Barlovento. We stayed at the Maloka, another building a few hundred yards away, not the Cabana built on top of the sea. (If you're very interested in staying at the Cabana, I would suggest you check in advance with the hotel -- I was under the impression that's where we'd be until we arrived, and truth be told I was a little disappointed.) Nonetheless, the Maloka was beautifully constructed, with fantastic views of the river and the water, and just enough of the sea sounds to lull you to sleep but not keep you awake. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious, but note that they are Spanish-speaking only. Also note that our room had fans instead of A/C, so it was a bit difficult to get the temperature right, but that's not very unusual in the area. It was very easy getting back and forth to Parque Tayrona for the day, and so lovely to end the evening gazing upon the sea.
