Been going to Los Barriles for 30 years and will return again shortly. Villa de Cortez is safe, clean, beautiful beaches and amazing fishing. Would recommend to anyone!

Enjoyable stay in Los Barilles
The location was perfect, overlooking the pool and ocean. The access was easy and we were close enough to shops for groceries and eateries.

The Good: Property location, a good size for 2 people, balcony overlook's the pool/bar area with views of the beach. The Bad: Late check in due to cleaning, owner advertiser chrome cast TV which was not available( No Worldcup), toilet leaking all over bathroom floor , safe did not work, unable to leave patio doors open after dark due to noise from the bar area.

Wonderful Condo, Great location
We had a great time in Los Barriles. The condo worked out perfectly for us. It was clean, simple, and nicely decorated. Everything worked great and it had everything you needed. The location was perfect and the view of the ocean was spectacular. The complex had everything necessary for a great vacation. I took advantage of the spa for a massage, we ate a couple times at the restaurant and enjoyed the pool. So easy to check in and check out. Communication couldn't have been better. Thank you so much for sharing your condo with us.

Not as serene as it looks
Facing the restaurant music and TV blares at the unit 11am-10pm 7days/wk making it annoying to be there. As previous renter reported, wifi is broken; it is no longer a frill--fix it. The bathroom reeked of septic gas every time we showered. Public warning: Stay away from Smokey's, it landed our party of 5 on their backs for a couple of days.

Guests were not provided with any operating instructions for a very weak internet connection or TV; gate code to access the pool grounds; or how to address bathroom fowl odors. Overall, we enjoyed our return to the complex and Covid safe Pueblo.

We've been to Los Barriles several times and know and love the area. This was our first time staying here, though. Pros: Great location Plenty of parking for rental car and ATV Pools and hot tubs were a great break from the salty sea Comfortable bed Well equipped kitchen should you choose to cook Cons: Close to the bar so it was loud until 9:30 each evening. Unaware of who to reach out to if/when we had questions regarding the unit Sewer smell when showering Ceiling fan above bed was very wobbly

Nice room great location, but no way to enter property
I never received an access code to enter the property, leading me to believe I would need to check in at the front desk to obtain a key. This was not the case the front desk only deals with the hotel and not the private residence (which is what we stayed in). I tried to contact the owner but his phone number didn’t work and no help using the app. Thank goodness for Pedro and the 2 lovely housekeepers who accommodated us after verifying my reservations. I would definitely visit again just maybe not this particular villa.

Ocean Front Convenience
We enjoyed our stay at Leo's place very much. He was quick and easy to communicate with and the condo is exactly as pictured. The convenience of having the hotel amenities was really nice as well as being directly on that awesome beach was so great. Being just a short walk from the wine bar, grocery and the rest of town was an added bonus. The condo was a great value for the money!

Great accomodations o the beach
The photos are accurate - there is a beautiful view from the balcony, which is in the shade for the hottest part of the day. The beach and the pools are lovely, the kitchen is well equipped, the bed is comfortable, and there is excellent TV reception on cable.

The maids and staff there awesome. Left money in shorts and paid them to do laundry and they returned our money. Could use an information sheet in unit about code for pool gate and how to reach property manager. Owner was very receptive when I asked questions but should have been able to get these answers from property manager without bothering him. Had tv issues and had to go without for days but again owner helped with that

Los Barilles is the best.
Great vacation spot and great vrbo. Only issue was I was unable to figure out the TV for my kids and if there was cable or satellite. My fault as I never asked and probably could have had the property manager help. Just was having too much fun to bother asking. Would recommend.

first trip to Barillas
Overall our week was wonderful and the condo was nice. However, a few suggestions, the website states there is a washer/dryer and there us not. Also, it would be helpful if there were at least a roll of paper towels and basic seasonings to use as needed. Our brother in law stayed in one in the same building and had many more amenities and a fully stocked spice cabinet and ice maker. Thank you.

Well appointed with a lovely view of the beach and the fishing fleet
This unit is very nicely done and very comfortable. We appreciated the beautiful ocean view from the small balcony. The bathroom and shower especially was spectacular. Facilities at the resort next door are also available. The town is very small so best to be prepared by bringing along whatever supplies you might like.

Perfect Perfect Perfect
I was in town for a wedding and wasn't sure what to expect when visiting Las Barrilas. The room was a pleasant surprise. Fully stocked with everything you could ever need or forgot to bring. Room was clean and comfortable and really no REAL complaints. Only issue was the toilet was running the entirety of the trip and I had informed Pedro the site manager who stated he would fix it but never got done. You couldn't hear it unless you were in the bathroom. Other than that beautiful views, quite residence pool and black out curtains. Perfect place to relax and forget about life. I would definitely recommend picking this place for your next stay.

Quick Nice Visit
This is a nice complex of condos. Our first trip to Los Barilles. The location is wonderful with a great view of the Sea of Cortez. We were there two instead of three days due to aircraft mechanical so not a ton of time to enjoy. We rent lots of places and are always surprised when there is a water dispenser for large jugs but no water. It's the small things that are important. This is a studio with a bathroom and a cooktop so eating out is a must. This looks out over the bar which is kind of good but also noisy depending on the crowd. The owner helped us in our communications and responded quickly to the manager. Two main drawbacks is that it is a dark condo with just the slider. The other is the shower is not made for anyone with mobility issues. We're pretty nimble and it's a dangerous step down onto a large tub to take a shower. The view is quite nice.

Thanks for the feedback Scott, I will speak with the property manager onsite regarding the water jug being filled. Good point. The shower enclosure is scheduled to be replaced this spring after the busy season. It will be a walk in from floor level shower that is all tiled. All the best, Kat.

Perfect condo in a gorgeous town
I have used VRBO since 2002 and would like to state that this was the best equipped place I have ever stayed, and the most comfortable bed. We did not cook int he kitchenette, but it was surprisingly well equipped for it. The place has an airy open feel with high ceilings. The bathtub is big enough for two. Never used the AC as the draft through the place was so nice. Very nice beach chairs and umbrella for use, plus the pool has very comfy seating areas. This was such a great place to have as a base to explore the city. We found the breakfasts to be best at La Playa a mile up the beach. No need for a car here. Take the shuttle van from the airport directly here and spend your money on an ATV rental instead of a rental car. The property manager was always around and very friendly. We were visited by two 40+ foot whales up close, they were swimming just 75 yards off the beach, a fantastic sight from the balcony. Thanks for our visit, we hope to be back.

What a view, right on the beach!
Super nice room with all the amenities (as described) A king size bed that was so comfortable. Glorious views! The staff are always so helpful. Booking with Kathryn was a breeze. Restaurants, Spa, taco stands, shops and groceries just a short walk away. Looking forward to next year!
