When we arrived the alarm starting going off on every floor. The property manager gave me different codes to try, but nothing worked. It was going off for 2 HOURS before they sent someone out to fix it. The back door closes when you walk out but the code panel doesn’t work so we were locked out a couple times, so had to make sure the door never closed. There were ants everywhere in the kitchen, and some in the family room and theater, so disgusting. I had to deep clean everything with Lysol to kill them but kept seeing them throughout the trip. To top it off, the “minimal construction” described in the VRBO post was NOT minimal. There was very loud pounding and machines throughout the day. I had to send a video to the property manager to convince them that I wasn’t exaggerating. Fortunately we were gone most days and were able to avoid the noise, but it was unbearable when we were there. The property management tried to make it right by buying us breakfast and giving half our cleaning deposit back, but that didn’t come close to what we paid for the house. I never would have booked this place for our family vacation had we known of these issues, and would not recommend this house to anyone else. ##### Amy N.
