Can’t fault this accommodation
Lovely spacious room with everything you need for a self catering break.
Bed was very comfortable and plenty of storage space for clothes etc
Teas, coffees etc were re filled daily and Gemma made us feel very welcome
Will definitely be visiting again
We were given excellent detail of location before arrival, and a lovely welcome to Coombe Farm, and daily enquiries to check all was well. The room was spacious and very clean, everything was as expected. Comfortable bed. Only a small mirror in the ensuite though, maybe an extra mirror in the room itself? There was ample parking space. The grounds are well maintained and the views from there glorious. Very peaceful.
Fantastic stay , lovely place to stay at . Hosts were brilliant made us feel so welcome. Was great to see all the wildlife on the farm really good to see peacocks roaming around the grounds. Would definitely stay there on our return to Cornwall.
The property was in a beautiful, quiet setting off the main road. Absolutely ideal for exploring the local area. It was also beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable after a long drive. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay.
Would highly recommend, excellent room, excellent value, given good directions on how to find the property greeted on arrival, lovely location, lovely room, what more do you need. If only all accommodation was like this.
Gemma gave us excellent directions, room was fab, peacocks and black cat came and eat with us outside our room each night. Do not waste your time going to a b&b, use this property it’s great.
Had the best stay here. Gemma always checked in to make sure we was ok and if we needed anything. Very comfortable bed and clean and tidy room. Will definitely be back again.
Really enjoyed our time at this charming place.
It was a perfect location, closely situated to Looe, Polperro and many others.
The host was very welcoming always making sure we had plenty of tea/coffee and milk.
We were greated by the free roaming peacocks most mornings and also met the friendly cats.
We would definitely return.
Absolutely lovely place to stay, perfect for ease of access to many parts of Cornwall. Would recommend if you like peace & quiet. Gemma enquired each day if we required room service. Highly recommend. Many thanks.
Coombe Farm is a quiet and peaceful getaway, ideal for a relaxing short break. The farm's location allows easy access into Looe, Polperro, and other nearby attractions. The presence of free-roaming peacocks and a friendly cat adds to the farm's charm. The room is very spacious with a comfortable bed, my only small criticism is that there is only a small hand size mirror and it would be nice to have a larger or full length mirror for doing hair etc. our host Gemma was very helpful, with good communication, and a welcoming nature. 😊
We had an amazing time at Coombe Farm. It is set in beautiful grounds and is an ideal base to explore Looe and Polperro, places we had never been to before. We had free Wifi, which was really useful and a smart TV which we made the most of when it rained on the first evening! We would definitely recommend Coombe Farm and hope to be back ourselves!
Comfortable spacious room in a rural location. Our room was one of a pair in a converted ground floor former barn in the grounds of the hosts house.
The room was very well equipped, more suited to a short stay as there are no catering facilities. Some basic essential crockery and cutlery was provided so breakfast was possible. There was also plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and milk sachets. We were offered the use of our hosts fridge for our own fresh milk.
Our host was communicative and helpful without being intrusive.
The property was better than i imagined, nice big bed, spacious, very clean, had characterand in a lovely location. There was nothing i didn't like. You will be welcomed by the Peacocks aswell as Gemma the most helpful host. Loved it !!
Loved the location and room was clean and very spacious. It had everything you needed. The bathroom was dated and no toiletries which Expedia mentions and needs to be updated. Having said that we enjoyed our two night stay and would love to retire next time we visit Looe. Gemma was very helpful with explaining how to find the farm and checked in if we needed anything each day. Would recommend.
First two nights on a one week tour of Cornwall. Conveniently positioned if you've come off the M5. Plenty of places to go only a few minutes drive from Coombe Farm including Looe and Polperro. Very quiet location and you're pretty much left to your own devices. Plenty of parking too. Expect visits from the very friendly Peacocks and the cat! If you want a cooked breakfast there's a no frills farm shop two minutes away which we tried. All in all would definitely recommend.
My stay at Coombe Farm was nothing short of amazing! The location is absolutely perfect, surrounded by beautiful countryside and steeped in history, which added a unique touch to the entire experience. The presence of animals and the stunning views made the stay even more delightful and memorable.
The host, Gemma, was exceptional. She welcomed us warmly, accommodating our early check-in and ensuring we felt right at home. Her accessibility and readiness to assist with anything we needed added a personal and friendly touch to our stay.
If I were to suggest one area for improvement, it would be the addition of a full-body mirror and a larger ironing board. However, these are minor details in what was otherwise a superb stay.
Overall, everything about our visit was fantastic, and I would highly recommend Coombe Farm to anyone looking for a peaceful and charming getaway.
The rooms we had were set in a beautiful setting in the countryside but only a short drive to Looe and main roads to other parts of Cornwall. We went to Padstow for a day which was about a hours drive . We had the Lily Lovedays room which was very clean and modern and the Peacocks Perch with more traditional furnishings. The bathroom was a little tired looking in Peacocks Perch but this would not stop me returning to the property. Tea and coffee was supplied with longline milk and there is crockery supplied in the room if you purchase food elsewhere. However there is NO facilities to prepare food. As previously suggested a mini fridge to store fresh milk and a toaster would be handy for breakfast. I was aware of this beforehand so again it wouldn't stop me returning to the property.
Gemma the owner made us feel very welcome and kept in touch throughout our stay to see if we needed anything.
The surroundings are absolutely stunning and you are greeted with peacocks in the grounds . We would definitely return if we decide to return to this area of Cornwall again.
The accomodation was easy to find, access, and provided fantastic base to the local area including Looe.
The Host provided very indepth instructions, great local food recommendations, continous support and strived to make the stay perfect. Also provided unexpected daily room service with dishes being cleaned and supplies restocked everyday.
The room (Peacocks) was rustic but provided the essentials including a fantastic shower and very comfy bed. It even had the added bonus of visits from the 3 local peacocks, rabbits and cat.
The only negative was that there wasnt a toaster or fridge. Though long life milk was provided as an alternative.
No matter what, we took a risk and found a fantastic gem, and would have stayed for far longer if we could have. If a future opportunity arises, we would recommend it and will definatly be coming back.
