But for the type of people who seek a unique style of accommodation, this property is for you. The staff, the ones I interacted with, were very friendly and helpful. The room I selected was exactly what I needed. No luxuries just the minimum for what I needed. I would return to this property again and will suggest it to anyone I know wishing to travel to Longyearbyen. It is a very walkable distance to the city center but far enough away to shake off the town when you want to. Having lunch and dinner as an available option on site is convenient but we very much enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Everything was so fresh and made with obvious love of serving. Although the rooms are not massive, they were big enough and it was so much more interesting than staying in a bland corporate hotel. The staff were amazing and the huge lounge area had a lovely homely feel. Don't worry about the shared bathrooms, they're large, well appointed and there are plenty of them. We would definitely stay again, and would recommended it to anyone.
