"Stay was lovely, just some odd elements which were a bit strange! Make sure you arrive in good time to check in early, and double-check what the morning process is for leaving - main pub remained locked and egress was through the rear fire escape - noone in sight so left key in room. The room was lovely - really well laid out, roomy, and clearly well-thought out; lots of little things that made the place really nice. Weak spot was the bathroom - doesn't have a proper door. Shower was also dirty...

"Highly recommend The Clock Tower. It has that rare combination of being off the beaten track yet accessible to everywhere. It feels like a charming family home yet has all the facilities you could hope for from a high end hotel. Beautiful Rooms, generous en-suite bathrooms and luxury toiletries. Wonderful peaceful breakfast setting with every extra offered. Lizzie went above and beyond to make our two night stay a delight."

"Last minute booking. Host was incredibly accommodating with a late check in and some food on arrival. Nice, big double room with en-suite and good facilities. Excellent breakfast included in the very reasonable price. Accommodation was enough to M1 to be handy for commute, whilst also being out in the countryside and a very picturesque spot. Would stay again. "

"What a great find - really lovely, small house with just a few, very well appointed rooms. Free use of a well equipped kitchen, lounge and dining room, all only used by the guests. Host was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Could not fault it, great value and very easy access to the M1."

"No free Wi-fi code left anywhere and attendants mobile never responded, horrible almost on floor bed with urine stained manky old worn unprotected mattress, bedroom window blind broken so exposed to neighbours and tatty external areas, no bathroom mirror (previously broken and not replaced), paid £6 extra for breakfast, expecting cooked, but it was a help yourself basic toast/cereal. While overall clean(except the horror under the bed sheets, the overall kerb appeal was totally neglected and...
