There's a reason it's the cheapest motel...
My fiancé and I stayed at this motel during Christmas week and I will never stay at this motel again! On the pro side, the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable enough. About a 5 minute walk away from Tower Hill station & the Tower of London, and about a 10/15 minute tube ride from all other major tourist attractions. The cons: check in was later than stated and we had depended on that fact for our early morning plane arrival. The continually rude staff would not hold our bags behind the counter so we were forced to sit in the freezing lobby for over an hour while out room was, ha, cleaned. The bathroom was filthy: hair on the floor, moldy shower grout, and dried urine on the toilet. The rug was stained and made our white socks turn brown in the few minutes a day we walked around in the room. We had to request new towels and more toilet paper from the front desk. You could tell that the door to the room had been jimmied and broken into at one time. There was no telephone and the foam, twin mattresses of the double bed kept sliding apart. There is hardly any food served: a light, overpriced breakfast buffet and nothing else all day. The motel is located in a very shady neighborhood by the Business District. Not a place for a lone woman. Use the parallel street and the alleyway further up connecting the two road and stay away from the bum nooks at the end of Chamber Street. We expected something simple and inexpensive but this place was far below anything decent!

Pretty good choice
The hotel from the outside looks like an office building in a tiny alley. However, inside it has been recently renovated and is quite nice. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms large. No phone in the room which was somewhat inconvienent. The breakfast is pretty good but cost about 8 euro more.

not ready for guests
This hotel is convenient for anyone who wants access to both the tube and light rail, but it is not ready for guests. My room had problems with the toilet, the heat/air conditioner, the safe, the closet... and the staff was not able to address any of them quickly enough. It took them 3 days to move me to a different room. And that room still had problems. The should get their problems sorted out before taking in more guests.

Great hotel for the price!
Yes it is down a dark alley but we returned to it at after midnight and it felt safe enough. The lobby is nice, very modern and the staff very helpfull, the rooms look a bit tierd but the beds are very comfy and the bathrooms well stocked. We paid a very good price through Expedia and would definetly stay again.
