The family room provided an additional bed and was adequate for the 4 of us (with 2 small children). The pluses are that the location on Hyde Park is very good, the surrounding neighborhood is nice, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and quite well maintained. The only drawback was that both times we stayed there on this trip, neither of the hotel safes was working. Plumbing is uneven which may be typical for hotels, no fan to vent the bathroom. It was nice to have windows to open as it was warm at times at night. The only question regarding cleanliness is that it became obvious that the same teacups were recycled in our room(we had a crack in the one cup)and hope they were more than just rinsed. They also do not use sheets, but comforter for cover and wonder how they are cleaned. Our room had a view of Kensington Garden, but Bayswater Road can be very busy and noisy. We liked that there were several Underground stations nearby (within 3-4 blocks).
