Gute Lage, aber in die Jahre gekommen

Posted 27-Jul-2016

Nice hotel right next to the Tower Bridge.

Posted 26-Jul-2016
Pros: The fact that the staff eventually accommodated our request for a bigger room (well, we did pay an extra £10 per night - not bad at all).
Cons: Update, update, update! More outlets. Nicer carpets and tiles.
Location: Right next to Tower Bridge. Lots of little shops nearby and across the bridge. Or, take the subway to other parts of London. Tower of London close by.
Hotel atrium is beautiful. We booked our flight and hotel room through Expedia. So, of course, we got what we paid for. We got the smallest room I have ever seen in my entire life. It was overlooking the River Thames. Honestly, if I had known it was going to be that small and uncomfortable, I would have called the hotel directly and just booked a bigger room. In fact, that is exactly what I told the hotel staff when we got in that night. Also, the room was cold and the thermostat did not work (they did bring us a heater right away). I spoke to one of the hotel staff members at the Reception desk and explained that my husband I were on our honeymoon and we really did not want to be in such a tiny room (I mean, we could not even put one of our suitcases on the floor and open it up without having to step over it - we had two big suitcases and two carry-on bags). Anyway, the gentleman first told us he had nothing, but then, something must have magically opened up (in his mind) and he gave us an awesome room! The room was overlooking the Tower Bridge!! It was amazing. The view was beautiful both at night and during the day. The room itself was okay. It was not very modern at all and certainly not updated. There were barely any outlets in the room and, of course, it was cold. Luckily, we kept the portable heater given to us in the first room. Bathroom was small and pretty plain. Actually, it looked like someone took a tiny hammer to the tiles on the floor. Overall, good!

Lovely hotel

Posted 23-Jul-2016
Pros: Its location and food and how close it was to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London
Location: Tower Bridge and the Tower of London were on your doorstep and a trip there is a must absolutely stunning, Crown Jewels in particular are spectacular
The staff were very pleasant check in very quick food was lovely and although the room may have been on the small side it was comfortable, transport to the city centre was regular with buses and taxis available but i would recommend the boat trips that leaves directly from outside the hotel. I would advise anyone to get the oyster card for getting out and about as travelling on public transport can be expensive overall we had a very enjoyable time and would recommend a visit.

ottimo hotel

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Pros: Pulito, funzionale, ottima posizione . Personale impeccabile.
No frigo bar ma acqua, tea e caffè gratis. English breakfast ottimo.
