  • Summary:

A one-bedroom retreat on Foley Street, filled with light and lifted above the buzz of Fitzrovia. Open-plan living with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a calm king bedroom — comfortable for up to four. Regent Street, Oxford Circus, and Soho's restaurants are all minutes on foot. Sleeps 4.

    The Space:

THE SPACE: A bright, one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Fitzrovia — 44 sqm / 476 sqft of open-plan living, with the best natural light of any floor in the building. Third floor, three flights of stairs, no lift. The apartment sits above a bar, so occasional music may be audible until 1am.

LIVING AREA: A light-filled open-plan living and dining space with windows on two aspects over Foley Street. A deep grey corner sofa that converts to a sofa bed, warm orange velvet accents, a Smart TV, and a round dining table for four. Equally good for a relaxed evening in or a quick bite before heading out into Soho.

BEDROOM: A calm king bedroom with a tall navy velvet headboard, generous wardrobe storage, bedside tables, and blackout blinds. Hotel-quality linen throughout.

BATHROOM: A sharp terrazzo-tiled shower room with a walk-in glass shower, wall-hung vanity, heated towel rail, and WC. Complimentary toiletries provided.

KITCHEN: Cream shaker cabinetry with wood worktops, fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Nespresso machine, toaster, and kettle — everything for a self-sufficient stay of any length.

Very good....but lots of stairs!

I really enjoyed my stay in this apartment. It was in a great neighborhood - seemed trendy, close to Oxford Circus and all of its shops, close to two tube stations making downtown London very accessible, yet still very friendly and down-to-earth. There was a great pub across the street and an even better Italian restaurant right on the corner. The apartment was clean and bright and had all of the amenities you would want (kettle, coffee maker etc). The one surprising thing for me (clearly i did not read the advert closely enough) is that the apartment is on the third floor of a walk-up building (this means - four floors up as the ground floor doesn't count as floor 1). I wasn't expecting this. While going up and down 4 flights of stairs was good exercise for me, it wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is no lift. Also, the managers of the apartment have no ability to keep your suitcases or hold them for you should you be flying in early in the morning and not able to check into the flat until afternoon. I left my bags at Victoria Station Left Luggage Centre - so this is not an unsurmountable difficulty, but it does add cost and time to your first day in London. Finally, the matress in the bedroom is not great - probably should be updated. It is rather hard. In spite of these three limitations, I would stay there again - for sure. But I do hope they change the mattress.
