Every item is useful, comfortable and beautifully curated. We loved staying in such an elegant flat. James is an excellent host. Although areas east of London are becoming increasingly popular, Whitechapel is a little slower to develop. Notwithstanding, we could easily walk to the Underground station to take the District Line into central London or walk about 25 minutes to Shoreditch, which is entertaining. In Whitechapel, we enjoyed a show at historic Wilton’s Music Hall and a nice dinner at Mr. White’s Chop House. ##### Gary R. Check-in and check-out were really easy with a lockbox on the exterior of the building. The location was great with there only being an 8-minute walk to the Whitechapel train station which seems to be what you'll use most to get around the city. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that this flat actually has 2 full bathrooms! We were under the impression that there was only 1 shower, but there is in fact 2\. Very quick walk from James' house to the Whitechapel Tube station, which connects to multiple lines. Has two bathrooms, both with very nice hot showers (not 1.5 bathrooms, as indicated in the posting). James was very communicative and provided clear directions to his home. Just as advertised, the flat is a breath of fresh air - colorful, spacious enough, and overall just lovely! Communication with the host was unsurpassed and for me, this was the perfect “home base” for a week in London. Close to the tube, literally steps from a major hospital, and in a wonderfully diverse community, I felt safe on foot and dare I say by the end of the week, welcomed in the community! All the typical tourist spots are only minutes via the tube (and affordable). I highly recommend this flat and host (and in fact, already have made two referrals for friends to stay here).
