We had everything we needed, (though admittedly we didn’t spend much time there), though the bedrooms are small and there’s not much space for suitcases and belongings in the bedrooms, and toilet articles in the bathroom. We liked that there was lots of coffee (stashed away high in a cabinet) and we used the washer/dryer (one unit) with some difficulty figuring out how it worked. We would recommend this apartment for its charm, general comfort and reasonable price, but it’s pretty far out from the main sites of London, and it’s a 15–20 minute walk to the tube. ##### Mary K. I stayed with my wife, daughter and her husband for four days, it is immaculately clean and it worked for us perfectly. It is located in a beautiful quiet street with all the local facilities we needed. The tube is just down the road and the pubs are close by in every direction. Alex is a true champion as a host, our check in was smooth and easy. Also Alex is a very attentive host who was on hand and contactable whenever we needed advice or help any matter. The flat is clean, the beds are comfortable, all amenities are provided and the hosts (Alex and Isi) are welcoming, responsive and first-class. The neighbourhood is lovely — mostly residential and great for walking. Perhaps not recommended for anyone with limited mobility because Highgate is quite hilly, but we loved it. There are 2 underground stations within a 15 minute walk, as well as bus stops close by. Even better, there are places to shop and eat in almost every direction (again, if you don’t mind a bit of a walk). The apartment was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we found it easy to prepare meals as it had all the equipment we needed. The weather was nice enough on many days and nights to enjoy the rooftop terrace. Fun to see the lights of London and one night we could hear the Arsenal club fans singing during a match that was a few miles away in their stadium. The apt is in a great residential neighborhood and we loved hearing the children in the school across the street. We were able to walk to the famous Highgate Cemetery and shops in Crouch End were about a 15 min walk for us. The owner Alex went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and accommodated my allergies to fragrance. He could not have been easier to deal with! Stayed 14 nights in Sep 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Victoria W. 13 Nov 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Crouch End must Firstly, buyer beware - Crouch End is hilly very hilly so take note if you are not 100% fit /able bodied - also the flat is up one flight of stairs plus stairs to the bedrooms /bathroom and a ladder to the terrace (beware especially!). It is also a step in shower i.e. over the bathtub. Don't let that put you off, it is a beautifully appointed and dressed flat - very cozy and comfortable with all "mod cons" including very comfortable beds. The area is as delightful -great cafes, bars and pubs and very good public transport connections - the W5 bus route got very well used - we loved our temp home and will definitely stay there again the next time we get to "go home " esp. as Alex the landlord was very helpful & patient with some of our not so bright queries. ##### Victoria W. We were two friends traveling together so we appreciated the spaciousness of the flat. The kitchen was reasonably well appointed and everything was very clean. The host was very easy to communicate with. As others have mentioned, it is located on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood. The one thing to make note of, is that the rooftop terrace is accessed through a hatch in the upper floor ceiling. There is a ladder to climb to get up there. It would not be easy to take drinks up and impossible if you have any mobility issues. We did not use it at all during our stay although the weather was glorious. Also, both tube stations are a good 15 to 20 minute walk that includes hills so keep that in mind as well. Otherwise I would not hesitate to recommend this flat to anyone visiting London! ##### Gaelyne L.
